Welcome to Pilgrims Rest, an idyllic retreat in the charming village of Bacton. Just a short stroll from the beach and nestled next to the historic ruins of the Priory of Bromholm, this beautiful flint cottage offers 3 luxurious bedrooms, accommodating up to 7 guests (using an additional Z bed). Enjoy the convenience of free parking, and rest easy knowing your furry friends are welcome to join for a delightful coastal getaway in one of Norfolk's most picturesque seaside towns.

The space

Bedrooms:
Pilgrims Rest offers three beautifully modern and refurbished bedrooms for a peaceful night's sleep. The bright and airy King room provides a comfortable retreat, while the single bedroom is perfect for young children or a cosy snug. The family bedroom features a spacious area with a double and a single bed. All bedrooms are equipped with a TV, allowing guests to enjoy a leisurely morning with breakfast tea and their favourite shows. An additional 'Z' bed is available upon request.

Bathrooms:
Pilgrims Rest features two well-appointed bathrooms, one on each floor. The ground floor offers a convenient shower room with a rainfall shower, toilet, and wash basin to wash away the sand. On the upper floor, the family bathroom includes a bath with an overhead shower, a toilet, sink, and a heated towel rail.

Living Space:
Upon entry, the glossy wooden floor and coastal-themed interior welcome guests to Pilgrims Rest. Off the hallway, the main living area features a large 'L' shaped sofa surrounding the Smart TV and a distinctive wood burner, perfect for cosy nights while enjoying a film with the family.

Kitchen and Dining:
A standout feature of Pilgrims Rest is the meticulously designed kitchen and dining area. Modern appliances, including an oven, hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine, are complemented by smaller essentials like a microwave, toaster, and kettle. Gather around the large wooden dining table for breakfast catchups or wind down with a board game after a day at the seaside.

Outside:
Just off the kitchen, guests have access to a large, enclosed garden, featuring a small gravel garden with a firepit, as well as a large lawn – perfect for outdoor games or for letting dogs roam free and explore. The exterior also features a vast array of outdoor furnishings including a table, chairs, parasol, beanbags, sun loungers and for brighter sunny days - a barbeque!

Really enjoyed the location and the house itself. Access to everywhere was really easy. The house suited 4 adults of 3 generations Getting out and about was also really easy and the walk to the beach was fabulous

Perfect location

Great property, perfect for our little stay. Amazing location, fantastic beaches and wonderful walks all so close. Plenty of room for all four of us and our dogs. Would recommend to anyone wanting to explore the North Norfolk coast and beyond. The one tiny thing I would suggest is having a radio. I forgot to take one and there isn't one in the property. I would return here, for sure!!

Great cottage . Wonderful to be so near the amazing beach. Restaurants were in short supply.

We had a wonderful stay in Pilgrims Rest. Very clean and well equipt. . Myself and my family had a very relaxed time. It was absolutely great for our dogs , having the secure garden to play I . Thank you , We will definitely return. Thank you again Marilyn

Property is good, overall clean but a few niggles. One photo on advertisement i must be for another property as it is not there (garden with summerhouse). Very dirty rug in living room and realised this was because it moves when stood on so drinks get spilled. Empty bottles of hand soap with sanitizer given instead of soap. No dishcloth to wipe sides. Main light in bedroom not working. Sofa is grubby, all soft furnishings including cushions could do with a clean there was a smell of dogs throughout. Otherwise pleasant location and good property, beds comfortable, ample parking and good quality items, just needed a few tweaks which were fed back to agent.

Lovely cottage

Great Property

Excellent property in great location. In pretty village close to beautiful, quiet, Sandy beach and great for exploring local area. Property was very clean, renovated to high standard and fully equipped with everything required for our short stay. Plenty of access to parking outside property. Booking and access to property very straightforward. Hope to book for longer break in future.

Perfect Little Cottage

Beautiful little cottage, very well equipped (even buckets and spades and outdoor toys for the kids), spotlessly clean, and with lovely, comfy beds. Only a couple of minutes walk from the beach and with a gorgeous little vegan cafe round the corner (we're not vegan but the food was lovely). For a small village, there are quite a lot of facilities - shop with cash point, chinese restaurant, fish & chip shop, pizza/kebab takeaway and a couple of pubs doing food overlooking the sea. Only downside was trying to get out through the next village (Walcott) - cars parked along one side of the road made it really difficult to get through, and that was out of season.

Excellent location for the beach

The property was an excellent location (5 minutes to a fabulous Sandy beach). Also, near to a vegan restaurant (I don’t usually eat vegan, but the food was very tasty). The house was well maintained, all bedrooms had very comfy beds and bathrooms excellent. Nice large kitchen and a good sized garden. Parking outside was readily available.

Amazing property, great location

Exactly as described with accurate photos. Even better than expected. Quaint cottage, immaculately presented with everything you need included and more. The location is great, only 5 mins down a path to an amazing beach. The booking process and communications were 5* thank you. Would highly recommend.
