Lovely bungalow

We all enjoyed our short stay at the bungalow. A good location, easy to get to main tourist areas, but a nice quite base to stay in. The added extras provide in the bungalow made the experience that bit more special, there was nothing that hadn't been thought of. The view of the old windmill from the bungalow was lovely.

Short break

Lovely bungalow, clean and fresh. Nice garden for our dogs to run around without getting out. Quiet area, felt like you were in the middle of nowhere when you are out in the garden. If we visit the area again will definitely book again. James the manager kept in touch before and during our stay to make sure everything was OK

Faultless

Our party of four found the property well equipped, clean, quiet and a delightful location at which to spend our break. Good garden space that I am sure we would have used later in the year when the weather would be warmer. We have every intention of returning next year. Top marks!

About the host

Host profile image
I grew up at Mill house Bungalow and, other than travelling for University, have always lived in the area.I currently live about 8 miles away but visit family and friends in the village regularly. As a result of this I know the area very well and if you need suggestions for things to do or places to visit please just ask.

Why they chose this property

My family bought Sunways Mill in the earl 1970s along with 2 condemned cottages and a prefabricated bungalow. That bungalow stood where Mill House Bungalow is today and at various points over the next 11 years both sets of my grandparents, parents and myself lived there whilst we renovated the other properties. However, the Great Storm of 1987 literally blew its roof off. It was then replaced with the current property. Now we are sharing our old home with others so that they can see just how lovely and tranquil Mill House Bungalow is.

What makes this property unique

The property adjoins the Ludham/Potter Heigham Marshes which is a 250 acre biological Site of Special Scientific Interest. Part of the site is a Nature Conservation Review site and a National Nature Reserve. It is part of the Broadland Ramsar site, Special Protection Area, and The Broads Special Area of Conservation.
