Very central and excellent location for exploring Bologna
The rental location was perfect. That was the five star. But there is a downside. I didn't have the heart to rate them less than five stars because we did have an amazing stay and the location gave us easy access for a larger group of eight people.
A couple of people have mentioned it before. The place is an older building so there are lots of allergens for those like myself who are sensitive. I typically plan ahead and make sure I bring antihistamine which I needed to take at this apartment because of the musty smell. But the bigger issue was the sewage problem in one of the two bathrooms. We believe they don't have a trap for the sewage that drains from the shower. This led to sewage smell throughout the apartment but was most pungent in the bathroom and quite offensive. In the end I put up with it and was glad about the location and the price paid. Being able to explore Bologna and downtown a few blocks away was enough for me to overcome the smell while taking a shower or using the bathroom, the main bathroom closest to the kitchen. If smells are offensive to you you would probably want to avoid this rental but if location is important and price is important then you could probably overcome the sewer smell with ease. It depends on you. Overall lovely place and I would otherwise recommend it highly.
