Flawless cottage house with a comfy feel, fantastic location and nice layout. Perfect place to use as a base for exploring the area (on foot or by car) or to chill after a long day of touring. Great attention, in all aspects, to what guests need and want. A rare find in the world of house rentals. It was hard to leave the Castle Cottage! Thank you Duncan.
We enjoyed our stay so much! Perfect equipped house with a nice and quite garden. And only minutes to walk to Conwy Castle. More than enough space for 2 adults. We met Duncan and he is a really nice guy who answers every question you may have (thanks for all these tasty chips!). If we come back to Conwy - which is a lovely place - we will stay here again! The home was cozy and clean and in a great location to walk into town and see the sites. It was well maintained and hosts were responsive. We had a great time and would recommend this property to any family looking to explore Conwy and Wales.
Host was very very courteous and diligent . The property is spotless and well located.
Minor negative is the steep front steps which my wife, on crutches, found a little hard to negotiate, but we managed.
Great location. Good amenities in the unit and garden. Washer and dryer a plus. Parking was challenging at times in front of the unit but we made it work.
Great location just outside the castle walls and with a playground less then 5 minutes walk away. The property itself had everything we could need and was modern, clean and plenty of space for families with two living areas and a garden. The owner communicated really well with us and was very helpful when we had a query. We would definitely stay again!
This property was every bit as good as it sounded and looked when we booked it. The furnishings were comfortable, plenty of blankets to use and a very well equipped kitchen. The Host was easy to get hold of both before and during our stay. We all loved it, thank you so much, we hope to return one day.
We absolutely loved the cottage. It was so well located, clean & homely with everything you need. We cooked and stayed in most nights. Fish & chip shop at the end of the road was very handy & delicious. The huge bed was great & so comfortable my other half didn't want to get up in the mornings! We were sad to leave & could have easily have stayed another week. There is so much to do in the area. Tip for others staying here make sure you get the actual name of the cottage. Vrbo only gave us the street name & postcode. I foolishly thought the name of the road was the name of the cottage. This added to the fun when we arrived trying to identify which one we were actually staying in. We treated it like a treasure hunt. None of the houses are numbered they all have individual names. Good landmarks for the house is it is between the red post box & red bin.
We really enjoyed our week in this enchanting cottage. The stylish furnishings, the carpet that you could sink into with such pleasure, the beautiful garden. All the equipment you need. And last but not least a very friendly host. Thank you so much for having us, dear Duncan!
Visiting from Canada
Fantastic home extremely clean and very close to everything.
Duncan was very quick to respond to any questions
Would stay here again for sure
Clean, comfortable, and well situated just outside the walls of town
Everything you hope for in a home away from home. Fully stocked kitchen (minus the food of course) charm and quiet. Never having been in a “row house” I was pleasant surprised that you cannot hear even a peep from the neighbors. Another note for US travelers abroad .. look for the Name of the house. The numbers have nothing to do with finding it. I would defiantly stay here again though the beds are firm for my comfort. A bit of artfully arranging pillows took care of that.

About the host
Hosted by Duncan Bailey
I am married to Claire and we have two young daughters. I regularly rent properties (I love the ease, value for money compared to hotels and knowing exactly what you will get before you arrive) and have now turned to host too so we can share our holiday home. We bought the house as we love to holiday in Conwy given how well connected it is, the fact it has so much to see and do in its own right (many of which don’t even require a car) but then how it is perfectly located to enjoy all North Wales has to offer. We love it and wanted to enable you to share it too.
What makes this property unique
My wife Claire and I will be on hand to help with anything and any questions during your stay and have prepared a booklet with lots of useful ideas and suggestions from things we love to do when using the house.
