Too bad we couldn't sleep

The property manager was adequately helpful.
The vacation rental was very clean.
I was more than happy with the location.
I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental.

The location on the ski hill is great. We stayed in 2 units. It is nice that they connect at the kitchen. That is very convenient for two groups being together. That is where the good part ends. The antiquated heating system was so noisy that it was difficult to sleep more than 15 minutes at a time. It sounded like someone was pounding on the pipes with a wrench. Both units, very, very loudly. We did go to the office and complain in person. We were told a maintenance person would come, he did. Said there wasn't much he could do. As much as we like Powderhorn, we will never stay at the Alpen Villas again. All 8 of the condos share the same heating system. After skiing all day, you really need a good night's sleep. These condos are old and tired. They need a lot of work .
