About this property

Stunning Romantic Barn Overlooking a Peaceful Meadow in Pembrokeshire.

Ideal for a couple, Y Storws is a beautifully converted stone barn set in a secluded valley with idyllic views across the Preseli Hills. Light the woodburner and relax under the original oak beams in this cosy cottage which once stored corn for the sixteenth century mill next door. It is now a fully equipped tip-top-of-the-range cottage which overlooks a beautiful meadow and the meandering River Nevern.

Stroll along the riverbank, cross the bridge into the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and enjoy breathtaking views from the top of the hill which the Mill Barn nestles in. You could even try fishing along our mile stretch of river.

Renovated to a high specification, enjoy the comfort of the underfloor heated slate floor, king-size oak bed and walk-in ‘rainwater’ shower and relax in the bath from which you can look out of the window at the view.

Newport, with its superb restaurants, cafes and pubs - not to mention the sandy beach and the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path - is only a 10 minute drive away. The prehistoric fort of Castell Henllys is a few minutes drive away, making it a perfect place for couples to escape and enjoy the pleasures of the Pembrokeshire coast and countryside.

This defined the "treat" in a retreat

Fantastic location, so peaceful and perfect to get away from life with fresh air and the sleince is deafening. The proporty is perfect with every thing you ever would need - such great consideration. Michelle was so supportive and so welcoming. Pubs and restaurants in Newport serve local produce & beers. Do find the amazing Toy Museum! I will return>

A Tranquil Haven

This is, without doubt, the nicest property I have ever rented for a short-term holiday/break. So good, I'd buy it if it became available on the market...it's that nice! The compact cottage-style suited us so well (2 adults and one small dog) but the 'icing on the cake' is the high quality of all fixtures & fittings, furnishings and general level of finish. A brilliant place to stay - we can't wait to stay there again!

A secluded gem

A comfortable and lovely property, hidden away, with views over the Preseli Hills and easy access to the amazing Pembrokeshire coast. All in all the perfect place to return to at the end of the day. Crymych, the local town, has a great wholefoods shop and a very good butcher and a Nisa with a petrol station so it is all the more refreshing because there is no need to search for a supermarket chain - hurray!

Hidden Gem in the Middle of Nowhere

We were seeking to spend some quiet days and this lovely converted barn proved to be perfect. We fully relaxed and our energy level went up in almost no time. The little house is nicely furnished, with modern kitchen and bathroom and cosy in an idyllic setting. Almost no phone reception (which was great). Michelle is a great host and makes it easy to feel at home from the very minute you arrive - there was even a cake waiting for us which-thinking about it-makes it better than home. Make sure you receive directions before travelling, Google Maps will definitely send youto the wrong place (not half as nice). Thank you Michelle and say hello to the sheep! Mel and Olaf

Lovely cosy barn. Perfect for a relaxing time away.

The property was just what we needed to recharge our batteries. Set in a small quiet village surrounded by fields. Inside the property is a cosy little log burner. And the underfloor heating was very much appreciated in the mornings. Felt very welcome when we arrived, greeted by a lovely lemon drizzle cake. Would definately recommend as a romantic getaway or somewhere to sit back and relax

An exceptional property and a stunning location

The description of this property and the photos that support it are a very accurate reflection of the exceptional nature of this property. The cottage is very cosy and well equipped to a high standard. It's private position enjoys stunning and uninterupted views out over open grazing pastures to the hills beyond. The surrounding area has an abundance of great sandy beaches and interesting countryside walks so there' s no shortage of things to do at any time of year. All in all, a great to stay and a great part of the UK to visit.

Beautiful cottage in a perfect location

My partner, dog and I had a lovely few days in this charming cottage. On our arrival we were made to feel very welcome by a visit from the owner and an amazing cake! The cottage was very well equipped and the facilities were of a high spec. The decor was very nice which gave a very relaxed, homely feel. I suffer with a bad back and the 5ft bed was extremely comfortable. We had a lovely stay and will definitely return!

Perfect Summer Getaway with the Pooches!

We recently stayed at Storws with our two beagles, Nyla and Monty. Driving through the Pembrokeshire winding lanes and countryside before arriving at the farm was charming enough, but once the stunning cottages and their equally divine surroundings came into view, we were completely blown away. Opening the door of Storws, we stepped into a picture-perfect cottage, tastefully done and complete with all the finishing touches: we were even welcomed by a homemade Lemon Drizzle, fresh bunch of flowers and a card, which started our holiday off beautifully. Everything was perfect (even better than in the pictures) and we were greeted shortly after by Michelle and her daughter, who assured us if we needed anything, they were only a phonecall or text away. I would certainly recommend a stay at Storws and we hope to return in the near future!

Lovely, warm, well equipped cottage.

We had a really lovely stay in this thoughtfully appointed cottage. It was warm, comfortable, spotlessly clean and the owners were very helpful from booking to departure. The only sounds we heard were the sheep with their lambs in the field! It was a lovely private spot, beautiful views and the local area beautiful. We visited Poppit Sands, Newport Beach, St Davids, Solva, Cardigan & Castle, Aberaeron and Newquay! Thank you for a lovely stay Michelle!

Fabulous property in a fantastic location!

We fell in love with the property the moment we walked through the door! Fantastic barn conversion done to a high standard! It’s a brilliant place to go and just watch the world go by. I booked for my wife’s 30th and she loved it! Michelle the owner is brilliant from the moment you book to the moment you leave! Her personal touches with the flowers, cake and birthday card for my wife made it even more special. The property is a great place to go if you want to get it away from it all but has places only a short drive away if you wish to do a coastal walk. The barn is also only a close drive to a spar shop and lovely pub the golden lion. We really didn’t want to leave but will defiantly be heading back! Thank you Michelle and family for a fantastic long weekend.

Absolutely perfect!

Luxurious barn conversion in a peaceful setting with everything you need for a relaxing romantic break. Welcomed with a tasty lemon drizzle cake! The owners have thought of everything to make sure you have a thoroughly relaxing time from DVD players, wood burners, underfloor heating and beautiful views. Would wholeheartedly recommend this accommodation. 10 mins from Newport that has 2 great pubs serving fantastic food.
