About this property

Our chalet is located on 1000 m² of forest in Barvaux sur Ourthe, 6 km from the beautiful Durbuy, a few kilometers from the very beautiful Weris, the village with the dolmens and menhirs.

This completely renovated chalet sleeps 6 people and is equipped with all modern comforts.

layout:
Upon entry into a spacious residence with dining area and leather lounge, equipped with TV via TV-Vlaanderen and DVD Blue Ray player.

There is a new kitchen with gas hob, electric oven, fridge freezer, microwave, dishwasher (use powder to wash, no tablets for dishwasher for 8 people). Following electrical appliances are included: coffee, coffee-maker, electric kettle, toaster, croque-monsieur toaster, fryer and blender.

Furthermore, there is a separate toilet and bathroom with shower and sink, hairdryer.

There are 2 bedrooms each with a double bed, mattress size 140x200cm, 200x200cm duvet and a bedroom with bunk bed, mattress size 90x200cm, 140x200cm duvet. Each room has a wardrobe available.

The chalet has a front terrace and a spacious terrace with teak furniture and barbecue at the back. Pets are not allowed. Heating and hot water with gas.

You rent directly from the owner, not through a rental agency.

Mooi huis in leuke omgeving

We heben een heerlijk verblijf gehad. Nog niet eerder een huis gehuurd wat zo compleet en zo spik en span was. Zeer goede communicatie met de eigenaar. We komen zeker graag terug.

Humidité et promiscuité

Chalet sentant l'humidité, situé dans la forêt Salle d'eau trop petite. Idem pour l'espace cuisine. Pas de chaînes francophones à la tv. Impossible d'allumer le chauffage même en suivant les conseils du propriétaire. Nous sommes rentrés un jour plus tôt. Tous nos vêtements sentent l'humidité.

Chalet sympa

Très chouette environnement ! Chalet très propre et bien équipé. Fort froid à l arrivée et chauffage au gaz pas toujours facile à régler mais nous avons passé un très bon week-end

Lovely chalet

The chalet was clean and well equipped. The shower was fabulous. The beds were comfortable. There was plenty of space. Our only problem was the tv didn't work, we don't know why, something about the signal being down. The owner could not figure out the problem over the phone. I'm guessing it was a temporary problem and just bad timing for our stay. It was nice to sit on the back deck for meals.

Een midweek in de Ardennen

Prima woning met genoeg aardewerk, bestek e.d. De douche is aan de kleine kant maar effectief. De sleutels werden opgestuurd en moeten ook per post teruggestuurd worden wat in mijn ogen een beetje vreemd is. Al met al een prima uitvalsbasis voor bezoeken in deze regio. Hele goede bedden, keurig opgemaakt bij aankomst. Moet nog even afwachten wat de borg betreft. De gas en stroomkosten worden daarvan af gehouden maar heb geen idee wat er betaald moet gaan worden voor iedere kilowatt en kubieke meter gas. Misschien vermelden op de site?

Goed verblijf, mooie omgeving, slechte afhandeling mbt borg

Prima huisje tegen een lage prijs in een mooie omgeving. Na drie dagen na vertrek een bericht gekregen aangaande een beschadiging aan een bank in de living welke wij niet hebben aangericht, waarna de borg onterecht werd ingehouden. Er is meerdere malen geprobeerd om de dialoog aan te gaan maar de verhuurder bleef bij zijn aantijgingen. Wij hebben gevraagd om de specificaties van de foto zoals de datum omdat wij sterk het vermoeden hebben dat deze schade in het verleden is geweest en herstelt en de verhuurder dit tegen ons gebruikt om de borg a 250 euro te kunnen inhouden. Deze specificaties hebben wij nooit gekregen. Daarnaast houdt de verhuurder er een overdreven strikte norm op na als het gaat om netheid zoals de indeling van de servieskast. Al met al een leuke vakantie met een nare nasmaak

We (gezin 2 volwassenen, 2 jonge kinderen) hebben hier 2 nachten overnacht. Erg leuk chalet, goed onderhouden en van alle gemakken voorzien. Achter is een mooi terras met zicht op het bos. De kinderen vonden het erg leuk om in het bos te spelen en wij hadden vanaf het terras goed zicht op ze. Ligging dichtbij Durbuy (diverse bezienswaardigheden/activiteiten). Ook hebben wij een mooie wandeling gemaakt in en rond het dorpje Wéris. Al met al erg leuk en zeker een aanrader.

Heerlijk weekend gehad in het chalet dat van alle gemakken voorzien is. Rustige bosrijke omgeving in de nabijheid van Durbuy. Geweldig pittoresk dorpje met leuke restaurantjes en waarbij een bezoek aan het piratencafé zeker de moeite waard is

Ideale locatie

Schitterend chalet. Erg schoon en de locatie is perfect voor tripjes nasr o.a. Durbuy, Hotton etc. Prettige communicatie met de eigenaar.

Tolle Hütte

Tolle gemütliche Hütte am Wald in einer Ferienhaussiedlung. Als wir dort waren war es sehr ruhig (November) Einziger wirklicher Nachteil ist der üble Geruch der Hütte der sämtliche Kleider und Taschen kontaminierte. Alles riecht modrig nach "altem Haus" und ich musste sämtliche Kleidungen und Taschen waschen um den Geruch raus zu bekommen

Wunderschön, mitten im Wald, charmant

Lovely chalet in a quiet location

We had a great stay at this lovely chalet which is surrounded by trees and very private, yet only a short drive from Barveaux and Durbuy. The chalet was clean, in excellent condition and offered everything we needed. We enjoyed sitting out on the veranda while our toddler could happily play around the trees in front of the chalet. The owner is very friendly and was always quick to respond to queries prior to and after our stay. Instructions upon arrival were very clear as well. We would highly recommend this chalet to couples and families who like to stay somewhere more secluded and in a woodland area, with interesting places within a short driving distance.

just perfect!

We had a short but great stay at chalet Padi. All the good comments you can read in the various reviews are true...The property was clean, tastefully renewed with carefully selected furniture, very well equipped and spaceous, nice terraces and views, ideally and peacefully located in the middle of the forest, but all the same very close to Durbuy, parking space right in front.... Thank you to the owner for the correct and quick communication and action. We certainly would like to return.
