Stay Clear
The property itself was okay - however, a few things that were shown in the picture, were not actually there when we got to the property, In the pictures, it showed a little game room, a gym, and even a garage if we wanted to put our car in, but when we got there the owner told us that all of those things were off limits as HE was staying on the below level of the PROPERTY that we had booked !!!! No privacy at all and frankly very awkward as he had spare keys to the property and could come in whenever he wanted to !!!
When I booked it, I spoke with the owner who said everything will be open on the 24th and 25th as normal, but when we got there, we had to starve on Christmas eve as nothing was open and then again on Christmas Day until late in the evening. The location of the property is not at all close to anything within a walking distance which again is what he said, luckily we had rented cars. Only 1 shower worked properly in the entire property... there were 8 of us in total, and the swimming pool was freezing cold to which we were told that if we pay an extra £20 per day, he could then heat it up for us (we did this for 1 day and the pool didn't get hot)
It was very hard to communicate with the owner as he struggled with his English so even asking for an extra towel was a nightmare...
The house is completely empty so if you fancy a cup of coffee or cereal in the morning make sure you go and get that all before you even get to the property.
Our overall stay was not good and I would definitely not stay there again...
