Located in beautiful Salishan, a gated community, watch Siletz Bay tides through picture windows in a designer kitchen or ocean breakers upstairs from the living room picture windows. Whether watching bay or ocean, Spouting Whale has a setting unlike any other on the central coast.
Honduran maple floors, black soap stone counters, and Northwest Cherry doors and trim highlight Spouting Whale's efficient layout: master on the main with a king-sized bed and two bedrooms downstairs with two queen-sized beds, all rooms have private deck space, and impressive bay views. There is also a couch queen sleeper (gel memory foam) off the family room with a private curtain that easily pulls across for a bit of privacy. Walk a few steps up to the living room to enjoy a fire and overlook the ocean breakers. A complete chef's kitchen will please gourmets and the coffee-needy with a corner overlooking the bay. Downstairs opens to a large family room with a 44" flat screen TV and a library/toy area for the smaller set. Salishan is one of the most private and beautiful nature areas on the central coast with great restaurants, activities and some of the best hiking trails, too. Activities include tennis courts, Spa, 18-hole golf course meandering through old-growth forest and ocean views, swimming in the community center pool (in summer) and walks to a seal and sea lion sanctuary at the end of the Salishan spit. Also of note is a vibrant art scene through Sitka Center for Art and Ecology, Lincoln City glass blowers and art galleries, manufacturer outlet shops and the Chinook Winds casino for entertainment. Salishan Lodge is available for your entertainment and offers dining as well as one of the most extensive wine lists on the Oregon Coast.
