Local craftsmen have restored the beautiful arched door which frames the picture-perfect view.
Inside, oak beams and beautiful arched windows complement the tasteful furnishings and décor. An open plan kitchen/dining area, with shaker-style units, granite worktops, large island and an electric range make this is a great social space and room for entertaining. Double doors lead into the spacious living room, complete with contemporary multi-fuel burner and a 50" Smart TV. To the rear of the kitchen is a utility and boot room. Arched windows bring in the views across the open countryside, and glass flooring in the upstairs window recesses allow the light to flood in.
Upstairs you will find three bedrooms, each with sumptuous carpets and comfortable beds. The master bedroom has a super kingsize bed, which can be twin on request, with crisp white bedding dressed for your comfort and ensuring a good night’s sleep, complete with overhead beams, mood lighting, arched windows, USB sockets and Smart TV. The second and third bedrooms both have kingsize beds, Smart TV’s and USB sockets.
To the rear of the property is a sunny patio area set with table and chairs. With an abundance of walking routes on the moors nearby and situated on the Dales Cycle Route, Carlton is a popular spot for the outdoor enthusiast. There are several beautiful walks within easy access from the Old School, and the stunning countryside of Coverdale, Wharfedale and Wensleydale ready for you to explore. At the end of the day the village pub is a gentle 2-minute stroll and a welcoming meeting place for locals and visitors alike, offering local ales and good pub food. If you’re a bit of a foodie there are several more excellent eateries in the area including the award-winning Wensleydale Heifer in West Witton.
There are plenty of attractions to explore including the Forbidden Corner at Midddleham, Aysgarth Falls, Bolton Castle, and the market towns of Leyburn and Hawes are just a short drive away.
