Authentic Country House in the heart of Wilderness Lapland
About this space
Welcome to an authentic and peaceful experience of true Lapland. The house and the area are perfect to enjoy on all seasons.
Sit in silence while marveling at the miracle of Aurora borealis in the winter, the Ice clearing from the river in the spring, the Midnight sun in the summer and the full spectrum of Fall colors in autumn.
Enjoy the traditional wooden sauna and the healing peacefulness of nature,
The house is located on the side of Kemijoki, the longest river in Finland.
The space
The house is big (155m2) and it is fully equipped.
The house has two floors, WI-FI and satellite television.
Downstairs: 2 bedrooms, kitchen, living room (parlor), traditional oven (fire place), WC, bathroom, wooden sauna.
Upstairs: 2 bedrooms, WC, mini kitchen.
The views to the fell´s on the other side of the 500m wide river are spectacular.
Guest access
The house is fully at your disposal.
The house has various gears for leisure activities. Gears include fishing gear for winter & summer, sledges, boardgames, boat, bicycle ect. Some gear is brand new, some is old school.
The house has bed´s for 8 persons, put it also has old sofa bed and mattresses. So if you are a bigger group than eight and willing to fit, welcome!
No Smoking Inside.
IMPORTANT: When using the sauna or the fireplace you need to open the hatches. In sauna it is on top of the stones, just pull the lever. But for the fireplace the lever is in the next room, the room is right from the fireplace.
Recycle.
Please leave empty cans & bottles in a plastic bag to the borch.
Waste to the green carbage can by the warehaouse.
Biowaste to the compost behind the hut.
Please leave the house in a decent form when you leave:
Furniture in it´s original place.
Dishes in to the dishwasher.
Please take your sheets off your beds.
