Number 7 is a small but perfectly formed double en-suite. It is situated just at the top of the main staircase and overooks the back gardens of The Grove. It is one of the oldest rooms in the house, and was originally one of the two bedrooms when it was a two up, two down cottage.
Alongside a choice of en-suite rooms in the beautiful Georgian country house or self-catering cottages in the adjacent barn conversions, we have a fabulous restaurant serving lunch and dinner and hosting special events throughout the year.

(Please note - our restaurant usually takes bookings two weeks in advance so please do reserve your table quickly! There are no tables set aside for residents!)

The Grove really is a very special place steeped in history, which has been offering accommodation by the same family for 78 years. We like sharing it; and aim to provide you with the space and tranquility to genuinely slow down and relax. The heated indoor pool is ideal for children and adults alike. We are also close enough to Cromer to be able to wander into the town and to the cliffs and pier.

North Norfolk has plenty to offer from numerous stately homes, and National Trust properties, places of interest, bird reserves, to beautiful unspoilt beaches and market towns. There is also lots to do for children. Cromer has its own zoo and go-kart track, and North Norfolk as a whole ranges from boating on the Broads, to adventures in Bewilderwood.

For the golfers, The Royal Cromer Golf Club is about a par 5 away, so couldn't be more convenient.

Lovely surroundings, great food and friendly staff.

Such a pity that the menu is not changed daily - we would have eaten there every night if that had been the case.

Surprised and pleasantly pleased with whole stay

A very happy greeting upon arrival..(it doesn't happen everywhere!)...lovely warm bedroom, all amenities catered for. Great to have opportunity of a private swim. Superb quality breakfast. Would not hesitate to return, the tipi looked fab. And have already recommended to friends and family. Thank you

A rare and excellent family owned hotel and restuarant.

It is rare to come across a family owned establishment such as The Grove. Everything about this place oozes 'relaxation' and the service everywhere from Reception to Restaurant is personal and polite. We felt very at home here and we will visit again.

First overnight stay at this hotel

We stayed for one night only while visiting relatives. Our room, number 7, was small but very comfortable and good for a short stay. We will return for sure and next time we will definitely eat at the restaurant.

Very enjoyable. The Grove is somewhere we return to.

The room was comfortable and had everything we needed; tea, coffee, a comfortable bed, nice toiletries in the bathroom. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice to suit all tastes. We enjoy the relaxed feel at the Grove, you can come and go as you please. Enjoyed a pleasant hour reading in the guests sitting room. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Overnight stay

We stayed one night in order to attend a friends wedding in Cromer. We wished we could have stayed longer to enjoy more of the facilities on offer. Arrived at 10am having requested an early check in and the room was ready and beautifully clean. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Amazing!

Set in beautiful gardens, this historic guesthouse is the perfect relaxing get-away. Just minutes walk from Cromer town & the glorious beach. The restaurant food was top notch. Very inventive & high quality. Lounging inside the old house on the comfortable sofas or out in the fabulous gardens was a wonderful experience. Staff were exceptionally friendly & helpful. Who needs to go abroad when UK has places this lovely?!

Nothing was too much trouble.

From the moment we arrived we were given a warm friendly welcome and asked if we would like our luggage taken up to our room, The room although small was cosy and had everything we needed and also had a nice view of the gardens through the window. The breakfast menu was comprehensive and catered for all. Booking an evening meal was no problem and was very enjoyable. Overall a very pleasant stay which we hope to repeat in the not too distant future.

A truly memorable and relaxing Christmas stay in this beautiful hotel.

Everything! Friendly, happy staff. Fabulous delicious food every day, including a superb buffet Christmas Day evening which guests could graze on and sit wherever they wished, dining rooms, bar or lounge, creating a relaxed house party feel. Beautifully decorated for Christmas. Part of the experience was chatting and getting to know some of the other guests. Highly recommend the Christmas Pier Show on Boxing Day. Would we stay again for Christmas? ABSOLUTELY!

was our 4th visit, a few things could have been better, but I would still absolutely return.

I know we had the small double, but do you think you could possible get a slightly larger actual bed? We thought the description related to the room size. The room itself was lovely, as described and clean and warm, so otherwise perfect. Dinner was beautiful, although I think everything could have been slightly warmer. Breakfast service was a little slow, We asked for plates for toast, they didn’t come, we asked for sauces for our food, that took a fair while. Overall we love The Grove.
