Quaint and remote

The location was a little difficult to find due to it being a little remote, you definitely need a car to get around. The hosts were very nice and welcoming. The unit looks like the photos in the listing just taken quite some time ago. Unit could use some new furnishings!

Empfehlenswerte Basis für Ausflüge

Die 2 Personen Wohnung war für unsere Zwecke, als Basis für Ausflüge zwischen Gardasee und Padua sehr gut geeignet. Ein Navigationsgerät zur An-/Abreise wird bedingt durch die kreative, ital. Verkehrsführung (und Beschilderung) allerdings dringend empfohlen. Nach Google Maps sollten wir die letzten 500m zu Fuss machen, man kann allerdings bis auf den Hof fahren😎 Dort gab es eine komfortable Remise, einen (nicht beheizten) Swimmingpool und von dort Ausblick auf den perfekten Sonnenuntergang. Die Ausstattung des Appartements etwas in die Tage gekommen, trotzdem noch o.k. Mückenspray nicht vergessen !!

Perfect peace and quiet

We knew we were going to have perfect peace as soon as we drove down the small track through the trees, and through the gates at Costa Fredda. It was everything we had hoped it would be! In the busy north of Italy, just outside Verona and on the fast route to Venice, it was amazing to be able to drop off the autostrada and in minutes be in such a quiet hideaway. We actually spent most of our time in Lissinia National Park, less than half an hour's drive away, which was a fantastic find. When we came home, hot and sticky, the pool was waiting, and we usually had it to ourselves. You look out from the pool across vines and fruit farms, with the national park mountains in the middle distance, and it is absolutely lovely. It was great fun to be staying actually in the old villa, which is furnished in a combination of antique and contemporary style - comfortable beds, antique dressers, and old, tarnished mirrors with fantastic gilt frames. And the hosts - Barbara is a delight, and welcomes you like a friend. We were lucky also to meet her brother Carlo, and touches like the huge bowl of fresh fruit and bottles of water already in the fridge were great to arrive to. This was our luxury few days after more basic accommodation and we would go again - it is the perfect base from which to explore the north, and as we never quite made it to Mantua we may just have to go back... (Why 4 not 5 stars? The only thing that caused any stress was trying to work out the bins. Italy is keen on recycling, so is Barbara, so are we, but it was a lot to take in and I am not sure we put everything where it was meant to go!)

Très joli petit duplex pour 2 personnes dans une demeure de caractère

Le duplex est intégré dans le bas de la villa et permet de garder un côté indépendant. La villa, grande demeure de plusieurs siècles, et la propriété sont magnifiques. Une grande piscine commune est à disposition dans le haut de la propriété à une cinquantaine de mètres. La propriétaire est très sympathique, discrète et arrangeante. Vérone est une ville magnifique. Nous avons passé une merveilleuse semaine.

Great apartment

We stayed in La Foresteria last year, and returned this year because we liked it so much. It is spacious, well equipped and has a great pool. Verona is near and also many vineyards and cantina's to find out about the wines from this region. For more info, scroll down & read our review from last year. :-) We would recommend this apartment!

Toller Urlaub

Die Ferienanlage ist schön und sehr gepflegt. Besonders der Swimmingpool ist toll und auf der erhöhten Lage hat man einen tollen Blick auf das Umland. Die Ferienwohnung hat alles was man braucht. Die Eigentümer lassen sich nur blicken, wenn man sie benötigt. Es ist vor allem sehr ruhig und man kann wirklich entspannen.

Super apartment in a beautiful area

We had a very pleasant stay in this apartment. It is clean, spacious and has the facilities you need for a great holiday. The kitchen is well equipped (we cooked some nice pasta and risotto), the living room is big and has a cosy couch. Airconditioning in the living room and bedroom is great, to be used when needed. The pool was superb: clean, big and enough beds to lie on. Although all the apartments were occupied, it was calm and we had a lot of privacy. The owner welcomed us and had good advice for restaurants. We could only think of one thing that could be improved: the amount of towels. There were 2 towels a person for 9 nights; we didn't know if they would be changed after a few days or that we should wash them. This is a minor thing. From the apartment you can reach a bar/osteria by foot, Verona is near and there are many nice villages (like Soave) nearby to visit. We would highly recommended this apartment!

Een zeer ruim en luxe appartement

Het appartement ligt in het achterdeel van het kasteel/landhuis, in een grote mooie tuin. Het zwembad is zo gelegen, dat je op het mooie achterland met bergen en heuvels kijkt. Het is allemaal heel ruim,schoon en verzorgd. We werden heel hartelijk ontvangen en wegwijs gemaakt door de eigenaresse. Verona is een prachtige nabij gelegen stad en ik kan iedereen dit onderkomen aanraden.

The perfect place to stay near Verona or Soave!

This property is just beautiful! It is located in a quiet area not far from Verona, and very close to Soave. The town in which it is located is quiet and inviting, the people that one meets while there are very friendly and courteous. The villa itself is very well maintained and beautifully landscaped. It is quiet, and the owners, Carlo and Barbara are just wonderful people, the kind of people you consider lucky to know. I will definitely be staying here again!
