Our cabin is the ideal place to unwind on your honeymoon and create lasting memories as you enjoy the romantic beauty of surrounding nature. While Southern Vieux Cabin lies tucked away in the wooded wonderland, it also provides easy access to the city’s nearby restaurants, grocery stores, and shopping in the arts and crafts community, guaranteeing you every desired aspect of your vacation.

Southern Vieux Cabin allows you to rest in the quiet paradise with its beautiful king bed loft bedroom, 2 full bathrooms, well equipped kitchen, and living room. The master bedroom and bathroom offer the most romantic setting and beautiful mountain views while lounging in the king-sized bed and relaxing in the heart-shaped Jacuzzi tub. The sunrise and natural lighting beg you to enjoy a morning cup of coffee from the comfort of the bed while beholding an enchanting view of Mount LeConte.

However, the master bedroom and bathroom is not the only place to soak in the natural bliss of the mountains’ embrace. Enjoy the intimacy of the cozy fire among the gas log fireplace, or become mesmerized from the private hot tub and 2 rocking chairs on the balcony overlooking the Southern Views, wooded mountain, and ample wildlife. The balcony and fireplace add to the romantic and private setting you are looking for, perfect for sipping on an early morning cup of coffee or a late-night glass of wine.

Our wooded oasis lies amid a flat parking drive without any steep roads on the drive up, offering easy access to the door; and it provides attractive amenities including a functioning washer and dryer, pool table and Pac-Man multi-gaming system for friendly competitions, and a charcoal grill with surrounding grassy areas perfect for casual cookouts and picnics.

Perfect again

This was our 2nd time at Southern Vieux / Southern Vieux 2 and it did not disappoint. Our favorite place to stay in the mountains. We'll see you again next year !

This place was in a perfect location as it was easy to get to any of the trails that we wanted to do as well as traveling to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. We would certainly stay here again.

Perfect Getaway

The cabin was just as described, we had a wonderful time. There is a cabin next door, but was empty when we were there. So it waa very quiet and secluded, exactly what we wanted. Hoping to come back next year.

Absolutely fantastic

Had an amazing time. The cabin was perfect. It was clean and exactly as described. Hot tub was hot and ready when we arrived. Pool table and Arcade game were great to pass the time. (There is a silver button on the side of the game against the wall that you have to turn to turn it on. Cabin had all the basic necessities and is very close to town and attractions. Check in was extremely easy. Would definitely recommend for a great romantic couples getaway.

Home away from Home!

We absolutely love staying here. In fact this is our 2nd time staying in Vieux 6. I love the location as it is in the Arts District about 5-10 minutes away from downtown Gatlinburg. Close to Food City grocery store and the Alamo. It is always clean and nice. The hot tub was an amazing way to relax, especially after shopping and walking all day. We will definitely be taking another romantic getaway here next year. Our favorite home away from home!!

Anniversary Escape

We celebrated our 36th anniversary here! Hot tub was great in the cool weather! Fireplace was on point as well. Close to town and easy to find! But don’t check in after dark! It gets really dark and it’s hard to read the signs! Would stay here again in a minute!

Very pleasant! Loved the hot water and tub options!

We found our stay to be extremely nice. I especially liked the stocked kitchen full of cooking and baking utensils. My only complaint is that the heating coils in the oven began to smoke little when I first turned it on and the smoke alarms went off at the smallest hint of smoke. That's only a personal complaint, though, and it was good to see that the alarms worked so well! I expect that the coils were because of a cleaning solution used on them. Also, like many reviewers, I noticed that the Pac man arcade game was plugged in but couldn't figure out how to turn it on, so we figured that it could just be broken. It wasn't going to be the highlight of our trip, anyway! Other than that, everything was clean and organized, the hot water was wonderful, and there were plenty of extra towels and pillows!

Nice clean cabin

This cabin is very clean and nice. It has sheets, towels, kitchen dishes and pots pans. The pool table is fun and the deck overloooks some nice trees. The only difficulty that might bother some is it is up a winding road and an even more windy driveway. However it does bring seclusion. The road/driveway didnt really bother me but for some it might. This is a very nice secluded cabin for a couple.

Perfect Stay In The Smokies

My husband and I stayed at the cabin for 5 days while exploring and hiking in the Smokies. It is nicely located for visiting both Gatlinburg and the national park. The cabin was very clean and well equipped. While there are other cabins near, it feels very private and was quiet. From the deck you can't see any other cabins. After a day of hiking the hot tub was wonderful! The host was quick to respond to a question and provided recommendations for area restaurants. We had a really nice visit and would happily return to this cabin if we visit the area again.

Perfect Getaway

We were looking for a quiet cabin so we could get away from the crowds. This cabin was perfect for the two of us. Close enough to the heart of everything we wanted to do, but far enough away to relax. My husband (large man child) enjoyed the video game console.

Why they chose this property

This property is our first investment. It possesses every little feature that creates an ambiance of a 'Home Away from Home.' We hope that you enjoy this cabin as much as we do! The name Southern Vieux was very difficult to choose because we wanted a name that encompasses a Southern Identity. One would think that the word "Southern" encompasses the South; however, the word Vieux (pronounced view) was borrowed from "Vieux Carre," which is another term for the Famous New Orleans French Quarter. The word Southern describes the direction our visitors look to see the amazing view of Mt. LeConte.
