This beautiful Victorian ground floor apartment is located in a peaceful residential area, just a short stroll down hill to the harbour. You are within easy reach of the many attractions in this wonderful historic town.. 12 steps to entrance.

Featuring beautiful original features, including decorative coved ceilings and a large bay window bathing the living area in light. This characterful property is sure to make your stay in Whitby a memorable one. Stone steps lead you up from the pavement to the front door. Completely renovated throughout, stepping inside the apartment it is bright and inviting, welcoming you on a comfortable stay by the seaside.
The property is all on one level inside, at the front of the apartment you have the living area, with a dining table for four in the bay window, where you can have romantic meals for two or entertain visitors, delighting them with your home cooking, perhaps using some fresh local ingredients for an authentic taste of the coast. The dining area is open plan with the lounge, with a comfortable sofa in front of the smart TV. Through an open archway you have the bedroom, this is a spacious room with a double bed, a dressing table as well as a wardrobe and bed side drawers for your belongings. Glass double doors lead you from the bedroom out into the enclosed yard. The yard has a seating area and table where you can soak up the sunshine with your favourite brew. Adjacent to the bedroom is the galley kitchen, which has been cleverly designed to maximise the space, making this a well equipped and welcoming space. There is a two ring induction hob, as well as an extendable work top, and additional storage space for food in the utility room where you have the washing machine. The shower room is modern and finished to a high standard with underfloor heating and a walk-in shower. There is a small seating area outside at the front of the apartment, just big enough for a small bench so that you can sit outside and enjoy a cup of tea whilst watching the world pass by.
The apartment is just up the road from a popular local fish & chip shop as well as a friendly local pub, which is especially popular with locals during sporting events due to the number of TV’s ensuring everyone has a good view. It takes around 10 minutes to walk down into the heart of the town, where you can explore the many attractions. Whitby draws guests from around the uk, who are drawn to its characterful cobbled streets, with the iconic abbey overlooking the town from up on the cliff top. There is so much to see and do, take a walk along the long golden stretch of sandy beach all the way to neighbouring Sandsend village, follow the 199 steps up to St Mary’s Church which is a fabulous view point, or enjoy a boat trips, the museums and the ghost walks. This area has a colourful past, including tales of pirates, smugglers, vikings, as well as being the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s Dracula. As well as Whitby you have the surrounding coastline as well as the North Yorkshire Moors National Park to discover. For those who wish to experience the wonders of this inspiring area, why not take a long, lazy walk amid the scenic beauty of the National Park, which can be accessed by the heritage steam train from Whitby winding its way through the rolling hills of heather. You can also explore quaint coastal villages such as Robin Hood’s Bay, Staithes or Runswick Bay.
Take in the sights along the seafront at Filey, Scarborough or Saltburn. And if you’re a history buff, take a trip into York to soak up the culture brought by both the Romans and the Vikings.
