The Stow Horse Fair is held twice a year, typically on the Thursday closest to 12th May and the Thursday closest to 24th October, however, we would recommend checking the exact date ahead of placing your booking. This is a traditional fair for gypsies and travelling people to meet up and trade which dates back to 1476 when its Charter was granted. Stow is very busy for a day or two before and after each fair, and a number of shops, pubs and restaurants are closed. Whilst many visitors enjoy the colour and vibrancy associated with the fairs, other visitors prefer to avoid Stow on these dates

Beautiful cottage in quiet location but close to local towns.
Beautiful characterful, well equipped cottage set within the lovely village of Broadwell. The cottage was well presented throughout and spacious enough for the 6 adults staying there. Susanna (the owner) provided helpful and detailed information prior to our stay and was available nearby if needed. The local pub, the Fox Inn was a short stroll away and served a delicious Sunday Roast! The small towns of Stow on the Wold and Moreton in Marsh have plenty of good shops and restaurants and are just minutes away by car with Bourton on the Water and Broadway slightly further a field but well worth a visit. Overall a perfect base for walking, relaxing and exploring the Cotswolds.

Great Winter Stay
All of us enjoyed a great stay with daughters and partners at this lovely Cotswolds cottage. 4 lovely double rooms and great lounge and kitchen area with wood burning stoves. Lovely village pub with good food and great country walks to Moreton and to Stow.

Short Break
We were very happy with the house and location. Unfortunately it wasn’t ready at 5pm and there seemed to be a lack of bath mats.

Lovely winter break
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It’s a lovely cottage with everything we needed. Our only thought was there could be a few more basic products such as Dustbin liners, shower gel.. Also an oven glove for the cooker. Otherwise terrific and we will return.

A beautiful cotwolds house
The house is beautiful. Spacious, comfortable and well fitted out with everything you need. There were a couple of cleaning issues, an old avocado down the side of the fridge and a few pans and cutlery not very clean. There were a couple of cracked glasses in the cupboard. This would not put us off booking again however!

Amazing home in the Cotswolds
Milllham cottage was so lovely! All the rooms were so comfortable and there was nothing lacking! It was decorated so nicely! It is conveniently located between several larger towns in a nice smaller village. There was plenty of room for our entire family and we had a great stay!

A lovely place to relax and catch up with friends
We were a group of 6 friends catching up from all over the country for the weekend. The house and location were perfect for us. The house is well equipped and feels homely but also special for a weekend away. The beds were super comfy and the bathrooms were clean - the whole place is well designed and really well furnished. Highly recommend.

A lovely cottage spoiled by lack of care
Beautiful cottage with the right accommodation for our family. Lovely log burners added to ambience. However the electric charger for the car wasn't working. Also the induction hob was dirty with horrible burnt on food on arrival. I reported it but nobody came to rectify. We gradually discovered numerous cooking utensils were put away dirty. A few toiletries in the ensuites would have been a nice touch in a luxury cottage.

Family Get Together
Millham Cottage was ideal for our family break. Plenty of space for the children & adults to relax & enjoy the cosy surroundings. The kitchen was well equipped & we had the added bonus of a Christmas tree which the children loved. All in all a huge success with all the family & would highly recommend it to my friends!

Wonderful
Millham Cottage is absolutely stunning. Perfect for a large family and friends traveling together. Large beds with each bedroom having its own bathroom. Broadwell is a beautiful quiet town with the Fox Inn pub just walking distant around the corner. Stow on the Wold is about 1.7 mile walk to lovely shops, coffee shops, and more pubs. Many trails around the area to explore. The host is just a stones throw away and was very attentive to any questions we had. We cooked in one night in the lovely well appointed kitchen. Our only suggestion is a few more kitchen basics such as tin foil, cling wrap, and spices. However, a large Tesco is a short drive away. We had a fabulous time discovering the Cotswolds and would definitely come back and stay at Millham Cottage again!!

Beautiful home with all you could need
We had a wonderful week staying at Millham Cottages. The cottage had every home comfort you could ask for. There were only a couple of things we’d improve and that is the strength of the internet and also having terrestrial tv as there is only Netflix and iPlayer which we’re quite slow once we had 6 peoples device’s connected. The cottage is in a beautiful location with easy access to the surrounding tourist spots. We would definitely stay here again.

property booked to celebrate a special birthday
The property was ideal for our needs, spacious, beautifully presented, comfortable beds and clean bathrooms and kitchen, couldn't fault it. The owners very kindly gave permission for a lunch party to go ahead, everyone enjoyed the afternoon in part because of the lovely setting. My only quibble would be that as we were only staying two nights the check in time was so late in the day it didn't feel as if we could fully enjoy the property nor the surrounding area before check out - a very small quibble!

A lovely village stay
Six seniors took a short break in this beautiful village, Millham barn has been converted to a high standard and we enjoyed all the local amenities (so nice to walk to the pub for dinner). We found the settees a little low and the “sign in” TV we decided to forgo but everything else was fabulous. Complementary bottle of wine was a welcome touch but other than that everything else in the kitchen needs to be supplied,

Absolutely loved the house. We stayed mostly in the kitchen area with a fire going.Would have been nice for additional seating. The kitchen was very well appointed. Bedrooms were delightful. Comfortable beds with lovely linens. Extra shelves in the bathroom for toiletries is a suggestion. We walked and walked. Such a wonderful time in Broadwell !!

Beautiful home in lovely village
A group of us stayed here for a long weekend. This is our 12 annual weekend away and this was definitely the best house. We absolutely loved it, beautifully decorated, comfortable and very well equipped with quality items. Loved the colours! A great little village too - tasty meal at the local Fox Inn - and a brilliant location with lots of places to walk and visit nearby. Only thing we thought would improve it was more privacy and screening on the back patio area. Otherwise, a gem!

Beautiful cottage in a fabulous location
Millham cottages is a stunning cottage and we felt as we walked in that it was even better than the pictures showed on the website. It felt so comfortable but very chic! Everything was perfect from the parking to access and the lay out downstairs really lends itself to a social gathering. The village is lovely and we enjoyed walking to The Fox pub on the Friday evening for a meal and drink. The food and service were very good. On the Saturday we walked to Stow on the Wold which is only one and a half miles away along a bridle path where we had a very pleasant few hours. We visited The Cellar wine bar where we enjoyed tasting some different wines and small plates. Despite awful weather for July we had a wonderful time as the cottage was so cosy and welcoming.
