The family room boasts of expansive views of the mountains below, vaulted beam ceilings, another stacked stone gas fireplace with remote control and opens onto a large, open-air deck with postcard views! The large kitchen features granite counter tops, custom cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, an eat-in granite bar and separate wet bar. The master suite features a luxurious jetted soaking tub, a spacious tiled shower, double vanity, luxurious king bed, relaxing rocking recliner and large viewing windows overlooking the mountains. A second bedroom on the main floor offers a semi-private suite with XL twin beds and full bath. The entire upper floor in the unit provides for a private master suite with amazing mountain views, custom Aspen furnishings including a custom king bed. Luxurious Mountain Condo

Great condo, better host

We had a wonderful stay (me/wife/2yr old daughter) for a week in the Mountains. The location inside Old Edwards @ Highlands Cove is convenient to both Cashiers and Highlands and the view from the house was beautiful. The only negative was that the check in process was messed up by the guard at the entrance, no fault of the owner (new employee who was just clueless) but the owner was wonderful in accommodating and helping out to fix the situation. We look forward to staying again soon!

Wonderful Stay!

The owner,Katrina, was a great communicator and also accommodating for all our needs. There was no smoke smell as commented on a different review. This property had a great view and was very spacious for all our 7 family members. We have kids and there is just a parking lot and golf course so keep that in mind if looking for a play yard at all.

One of the best places we ever stayed!

This is such a wonderful place perfect for a family. It has three comfortable rooms and one patio and one balcony. The place is spotless. It has wonderful views. It is in a prime location. The property manager is so attentive. It is close to wonderful hiking places we enjoyed including Whiteside mountain. There's horseback riding that is close in Dillard. There's a convenient downtown with cute shops. Can't say enough good things about this location and owner!

Prettiest views ever

This condo was perfect for us; comfortable living space, large kitchen, comfortable bed, nice spacious bathroom but none of this matters when you look outdoors, unbelievable scenery from every window! Of course we were there at peak leaf time. The owner was very responsive and helpful. We really enjoyed the fireplaces although they are temperamental . If you are hesitant to drive these mountain roads at night just know it’s 20 minutes to Highlands and 10 to Cashiers but we enjoyed just staying in and taking advantage of the condo.

Fine stay. Terrible issues following stay.

We had a fine stay but a nightmare two weeks after. First for the stay...This property is in a multi-unit condo in the beautiful Old Edwards Club development. The area is gated, quiet, and essentially halfway between Highlands and Cashiers. Large living space and nice master and bath. Great views. We had some issues getting the unit to heat up but the owner was responsive and gave us some info regarding closing an upstairs door which helped after several hours. 14 days after our stay, the security deposit had not been refunded. When questioned, the owner quickly reported that 3 days following our departure “on-site” persons entered and smelled cigar smoke and due the clean up (floors, upholstery, and dry cleaning) we would not receive a refund of the deposit. The owner had not contacted us regarding these alleged issues and only raised them when we asked for the refund status. I advised the owner that no one in our party currently smokes, has ever smoked, and did not smoke in the unit, that the 3 day gap in the inspection of her property and/ or the presence of others in the adjacent units in the same building who could have been smoking were the likely cause(s) of any cigar smoke issues . I asked for an accounting of the security deposit, i.e. invoices, receipts, communications with cleaning folks, etc...only to be directed to the owner’s lawyer. We love VRBO. Rented with them many times with no issues. We love Highlands and it is near and dear to us as a place we have enjoyed as a family in good and difficult times, but we are now suffice it to say, soured towards both.

Nice place. (More) terrible issues following the stay

Don’t be fooled… Inspect and report any issues when you arrive. The property is beautiful with two outside options to enjoy the views and weather. The kitchen was well stocked and we liked having a wet bar area. The open family room allowed us a comfortable place to enjoy our family. We loved the location - conveniently located between Cashiers and Highlands and within 30 minutes of lots of great hikes and waterfalls. We were able to enjoy the beautiful golf course and neighborhood as a challenging walking route as well. The owner checked in on us occasionally to make sure things were going well. While we were there, several days into our stay, we found some sheets in the dryer. We just assumed that they were left there by a rushed cleaning crew and didn’t think any more about it – just threw the sheets on an unused bed. The day after we left, I received a text from the owner asking me about the sheets and pillow on that bed. I explained that we found the sheets in the dryer and just threw them on the unused bed and that we had never even opened that bed so I was unaware of any pillow issue. She told me that she always has the condo inventoried and inspected after each stay and they had found a bloody pillow and that some sheets were missing. What concerns me is that this was NOT FOUND before our stay and I worry what else was not cleaned before we arrived. I wrongly made the assumption that because the place looked and smelled clean that it was. Evidently she concluded that my explanation was a lie because she charged me $100 to replace the bloody pillow and missing sheets that we did not ever use or take. Had we used that bed and found the blood, I would have been horrified and called her immediately! I really wish I could say that I would rent this place again.

Wonderful Fall Foliage Escape

This was our very first experience with VRBO, and this property did not disappoint. The home was meticulously clean, the linens and beds were lovely, the kitchen had absolutely everything one could need, and the View the View was breathtaking. Now all that is well and good, but what I want to highlight here is the. Incredible attentiveness and responsiveness of the owner. Not being extremely technical I had trouble figuring out the gas fireplace and the television system- I called and she immediately picked up the phone and she expertly walked me through what I needed to do and like that we were all set. If you are considering a relaxing place in the mountains look no further this is the place you would like to be. I know that I will be back and this time for longer than a weekend!

Relaxing mountain getaway

Convenient location mid way between Highlands and Cashiers in a lovely golf community. Condo was spacious and bed was comfortable. Views are amazing and we made use of both balconies. Kitchen was large and well stocked. Quiet community. Decor could use an update, and there didn’t seem to be any community amenities available without paying an additional price.

Great Owner

Because my father passed away when our trip was to begin, we were unable to stay in the residence. We were within the period when we would not receive a refund upon cancellation. However I explained the situation to the owner and was able to work out an acceptable outcome for us. We really appreciated their understanding and for their willingness to help us out in a difficult time..

Wonderful and Accommodating Host
