Renovated three bedroom three bath chalet style home with seasonal views. A small brook at the back of the property provides wonderful sound scape as you relax on the back porch grilling or dining outside. We are just a couple minutes from the ski slopes and the Beech mountain village on a paved street and easy access driveway. There are two living areas to accommodate kids and adults to have separate spaces to hang out. We have TV's in all of the bedrooms for some private down time. It is a quiet neighborhood with a great hiking trail that follows a creek the whole way to Lake Coffey. There is so much to do in the Boone and ski areas all year around that its difficult to find time to experience everything! Master bedroom has ensuite full bath and queen bed. Top floor has a king bed with an alcove room with two twin beds. A full bath to accommodate this room is on the main floor. The third bedroom is in a walkout lower level with ensuite full bath. This large room has a queen bed on one end and two twins on the other end.

there are a few items that need repair, a cabinet door and shelves are about to fall off and a few things were not cleaned out, Coffee maker and the dish washer was not unloaded. all in all, we had a good stay.
Super close to the ski resort, affordable, and comfortable!

Could use some TLC
The location was great for us, 5 minutes from Beech Mountain. There were plenty of beds for us. It was clean, but needs some overall TLC. Many cabinet doors in the kitchen were loose and or crooked. The microwave door was tricky to close and needs some attention. We were not told the refrigerator icemaker did not work and there were no ice trays. Had we known, we'd have brought bags of ice.

Cold and Not Quite Accurate
My mother, father, myself, my partner, and our son (9) visited here to go sledding. This is a nice little house, but needs a lot of work. We arrived at 4 pm and the cleaners were still there. They didn't leave until 5 pm. It took us a LONG time to get the heat up. It was around 55 degrees and the heater on the main floor just didn't seem to be able to raise the temperature. We relied on space heaters. We were somewhat separated between the basement and the very upper room as these were the only two TVs we could actually get to work. We couldn't use the fire place - couldn't get it to turn on and we received a note that said it had just been repaired and might now work - if we did turn it on, we were to check for a smoke smell upstairs! This made the main living room cold and with no TV - so that nice gathering area was out. The stairs on the way down to the basement area desperately needs a handrail on the other side - it's missing and they are quite steep stairs. We ended up leaving a day early, staying only one night instead of two. We just weren't comfortable. Dog next door will come to visit, but didn't bother us any. Does have a nice location and we didn't have any issues accessing the property.
We were only there for a few days, but the place was very clean, no real issues. TV was nice, seating was comfortable. Beds were mostly comfy -- the twin beds were a little small for an adult. The main floor was pretty toasty, but that's probably a very good thing in many situations.
The house was perfect for our family of 11. It was very clean and spacious while being conveniently located to the ski slopes. The host was very responsive!
The home was located in such a nice and quiet neighborhood and two minutes from Land of Oz that we came for. The deer in the neighborhood walk right up to you and my kids thought this was the coolest thing! Home has three levels and great space if you had multiple families staying. Andrew was always helpful if we had any questions. We will be back!
This home is very spacious and looks exactly like the photos in the ad. The views were beautiful.
What we didn’t expect was to have NO running water. We were unable to wash dishes or brush our teeth; let alone shower. We had to use water bottles. Very dissatisfied as we were there with a family of 9 for a reunion for 2 1/2 days. In addition, there was a leak in the basement that was disclosed by the owners a few hours upon our arrival. While the dehumidifier ran, it smelled very musty .
Cabin was very comfortable for our family of ten. There is good separation of space for multiple generations to use. We did have a couple of issues during our stay but Andrew was attentive to address those.
We travel for business, rather than leisure. Spending the day in tight quarters on our feet, we need to spread out and relax to get up and do it again. This house was wonderful for that; with spacious great room and kitchen, and three large bedrooms located on different floors. Three bathrooms and a large kitchen to pack up lunches and snacks made the morning prep relatively easy.
However, the heart of a home is the kitchen. We arrived, turned on the icemaker the first night, and awoke to water running across the kitchen floor the next morning. A text to the owner revealed this was a known problem and repairs were scheduled next week. We tried several suggestions by the owner over the next four days while walking around the kitchen on towels and washing/drying them. Since this problem was known before our arrival, it would have been far better to warn me in advance not to use the icemaker. (A bag of ice in town was not expensive.)
Lovely house, much larger than it looks. Once fridge repairs are complete, I expect future guests will have a wonderful time.
We had a lovely stay in this home. It was wonderful not having to worry about bringing towels and sheets since they were included. There are so many places to sleep, but only 6 or 7 people can sit down at the dining table. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, pans, and accessories to make all your food at the house. The neighbors were so friendly and helpful when we needed it. The hiking trails nearby were good, and somewhat easy to get to.
The property manager was great to work with. The house and location were perfect for us. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend the property
Enjoyed a Christmas and snowboarding on the mountains. Coming from Florida it was all we hoped for . The property was darling and would most definitely go back . We felt so at home .
This home was just as described and very well stocked! I appreciated having lots of items in the kitchen and extra garbage bags, paper towels, TP etc. The lay out of the beds worked really well for us. Our group consisted of me, my 2 married children and the grandchildren. It was great to have a floor for each family. Having the lower level with a couch and TV and games was so helpful to have for the children. We had a question about the heat on the main floor and Andrew responded quickly and was even willing to stop by if we needed him to. Would stay here again if we are in that area. ***One note, the house in now gray with yellow trim, so don't be looking for brown and red.
A few of my closest friends from college stayed the weekend. We had a fun time remembering college days and watching football. House was clean and everything was as advertised.
This place is a great place to stay, house was very clean, everything that we need is on kitchen, enough towels to used, comfortable house to accommodate 11 people.
Great cabin that was clean and well stocked. It has 3 bedrooms that have extra beds to accommodate several families. The cabin is a great location and was really comfortable. We were especially impressed with how stocked the kitchen was where there was nice cookware and even resealable containers. This is really helpful if you plan to come and cook meals over several days. Very close to Beech Mountain and Banner Elk.
We loved the easy access in the neighborhood to a good hiking trail. House has plenty of space and beds. Great for a group of families with teens who want a little space. Owner was very responsive and helpful.
We had a great stay at this property. It's conveniently located to Beech Mountain attractions and Banner Elk. The house is nicely decorated and very clean. It was nice to have the bedrooms spread out on all three floors so you have some privacy with larger groups, although a little inconvenient for people staying on the top floor who have to come downstairs for the bathroom (but that was as advertised). The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and appliances, and the living room and eating area were cozy and the perfect size for our group of six.
My family of 5 met up with our friends (another family of 5) and this house was perfect for us! The kids all got to bunk together in the upstairs bedroom, and we had plenty of space to relax and connect! The host answered any questions we had right away, and the location of this house was perfect for exploring Beech Mountain and getting to nearby attractions like Grandfather Mountain. We would absolutely book this property again!
The view was wonderful. The house accommodated all our needs. Even the neighbors were great. The kids loved playing on the hill behind the house. It was just what we needed for a nice relaxing vacation. We will definitely request this home again in the near future.
Thank you so much for sharing your lovely home.
Communication with the owner was easy. Property was as described, however we did not realize there was no central heat. There are space heaters and electric radiators upstairs and downstairs. It didn’t seem like the middle floor radiator worked for us at the time of this review. Also, if there is a snow storm you will need snow chains or four wheel drive as the roads are steep in places getting to the house. It was in a convenient and safe location. Very closed to the sledding hill which the kids enjoyed.
