Family farm home situated on a spacious farm site.

Welcome to Jim's at Ibling's Family Farm. This updated home is situated in Brownsdale, MN located on a family farm site that has been in our family for more that 100 years.

Named Jim's after my father who resided there. This location provides a beautiful venue for small get togethers, couples retreats or other special events.

We are 90 minutes south of the Twin Cities just off Hwy 56. We are less than 45 minutes away from Rochester, MN home of the renowned Mayo Clinic and less than 15 minutes from Austin, MN home of the Spam Museum.

In today's hectic busy world, let this be your escape from the daily grind and a place to recharge your batteries. Relax and enjoy the natural beauty that surrounds you.

Take in the sunset from the covered porch. Enjoy the walking trails and explore all that nature has to offer. Have a morning cup of coffee on the beautiful porch.

Plan a picnic out in the woods by the creek that meanders through the property.

Take pleasure in a romantic candlelight dinner in our beautifully-decorated home.

With 2-bedrooms and 1-bathroom in a fully-remodeled home this is an ideal vacation getaway for a romantic retreat or other small events. There couldn't be a more perfect spot for your unique gathering. Please note that the bathroom in on the main floor and bedrooms are on 2nd floor.

We provide bottle watered in the home since we have tested marginally high on nitrates found in water. This is just for consumption. Doing dishes or showering are not affected.

Felt like home away from home

This home provided my family a cozy, clean, and fully supplied stay. It felt like when you go visit family and you can just relax because you know everything is clean and the house has everything you need. The host was very kind and responsive. I highly recommend staying here or across the street at their other properties. The historical family pictures add a nice touch too. Love that rural Minnesota charm.

Christmas visit home

We just needed a place to sleep as our family Christmas was just a few miles away. This place was fine for my 4 children and I but the stairs to upstairs where the bedrooms are located are very steep. Check in was easy. We would stay here again.

Family get together.

Very welcoming and enjoyed quietness and loved coming out and seeing the horses outside! Should charge and see if guest would like to feed horse pet or even ride. Highly recommend

Charming little farmhouse

This is our second stay at Jim’s farmhouse, and we loved it. We walked around the farm grounds several times, enjoying the beautiful scenery, sunrises, sunsets and fall leaves. The host is terrific and very responsive and nice. A relaxing and rejuvenating place to stay. Can read on the porch, visit animals, watch Netflix shows and enough warm water from the shower for everyone!

So grateful to have found this host and property! This is our third time staying in one of their homes, and each time is better than the last! Booking, check-in, and check-out were all seamless. Exceeded expectations...again!

This was our second time staying at one of the host's properties, and again, the experience was exceptional! The hosts truly have thought of everything! The home is completely furnished with everything a traveler could need or want, it was very clean, and comfortable! My children had a wonderful time snow shoeing the trails, and we are already actively planning a return trip to MN. Would not want to stay anywhere else but with this host!!

Jim’s Farm House Experience

The house worked ok for us as far as location. The website did not disclose and we were not notified (until we arrived) that the tap water was high in nitrates and we had to use bottled water, which the host provided. This caused some inconvenience. The website also did not reveal that the two bedrooms were upstairs and the bathroom was downstairs, and the stairs were quite steep and narrow. The televisions disappointed us too because of poor reception downstairs and very few channels available. We enjoyed walking on the paths through the farm yard.

Charming farmhouse

Quaint little farmhouse that was very comfortable and relaxing for a girl’s’ weekend in the country. Front door was difficult to unlock, but we finally got the knack of it. Enjoyed walking the trails around the property and through the woods. Had a wonderful meal at the Old Mill within 12 minutes in Austin, and also enjoyed the Spam Museum (free). Road noise did not bother is at all. Owner was responsive when we had to call him.

Arrival was good…other than we thought the back door was a patio door and it’s a French door. French doors don’t slide…😉 Easy to find but a lot of traffic noise.
