Just like home!
We had a wonderful stay at the Little Bear cabin. Everything was just as described only better. Our big family made great use of every area of the house and there was plenty of room! (8 adults, 1 child). We played games, ate, laughed, soaked in the hot tub, sang and made smores by the fire, and enjoyed watching the deer each day. Melissa was a great hosts responding to our questions very quickly. We highly recommend the Riverhouse restaurant near Big Sky. Great food with the perfect atmosphere to relax and have fun. If we make it back to the area, we will definitely stay at Little Bear cabin again.

The cabin itself was amazing fully stocked with everything you need and breathtaking views of the mountains!! We were 7 adults there was so much space. Also conveniently located near lots of activities, during our stay we enjoyed horseback riding, atv riding, whitewater rafting, hot springs spa all within 20 minutes we did also visit Yellowstone it was a bit more of a drive but well worth it!! The host Melissa is very friendly and informative also easy to contact. Would give this house 10 stars if I could we very much enjoyed our stay!! - The Reynolds Family from MA

Wonderful!!
I traveled to Little Bear Lodge with my family, total of 7 including my parents, sister, brother-in-law and two teenage nephews. We loved the home! It was so relaxing sitting outside on the deck and watching the wildlife, mountains and sunset. We had elk visit almost every night we were there. The home was in a good location, close to Bozeman and Big Sky. We also spent a day in Yellowstone. Having the hot tub to come home to after our long hikes was very nice! We have been renting homes for our family vacations for about 15 years, and I think we all agreed that this home was the best home we've rented so far! The home was well stocked with everything we needed, and Melissa was very easy to communicate with and answered all the questions we had. I hope to get back to Little Bear Lodge someday!

Beautiful location!
We loved having so much space for my family of 5 adults, and a 10 and 13 yr old. We used one kitchen for food and the other for games and drinks. The back deck views were fantastic. Everyone enjoyed the creeks on the trail and the hot tub.

Beautiful Property
Our family of 6 adults and 3 children (age 5, 1 and 6 months) had, overall, a wonderful stay in this beautiful log cabin. It was spacious and comfortable, kitchen was well-stocked, and Melissa was super responsive to any concerns. The only thing that detracted from our visit is that it snowed the first night; only 2-3 inches, but it was also very windy, and snow drifted across the long driveway….which made it impossible to get our vehicles out the next day. A sweet neighbor tried to help and finally two different tow trucks as well….all got stuck in the snow/ditch on the side of the driveway. We lost our whole first day dealing with this situation and had to park up the long driveway in the street for the rest of our stay; not a huge deal, but a bit of a hike. So if you’re staying in the winter, DEFINITELY plan to have a 4WD vehicle (although we had one, and it still got stuck). All that being said, we had a great visit in Bozeman. Would highly recommend the Mineral Hot Springs concerts, brunch at Jam, Bingo night/dinner at The Jump (just down the road from the house) and - our highlight - the snow coach tour of Yellowstone National Park (offered by Yellowstone Expeditions). A wonderful, unique experience, to visit Montana in the winter!

Picturesque Cabin in Nature
This (huge) log cabin was perfect for our stay. Room to spread out with extended family traveling with us, and had all of the amenities you could ask for. The hot tub has amazing views for morning or evening dips, two kitchens to balance large groups and plenty of gathering areas. Elk sightings 24/7, deer, pheasant, and we even saw a wolf! Only 20 minutes from Bozeman and a bit over an hour to the west entrance of Yellowstone. Will definitely keep this place in mind for future vacations with a large group. We missed it the moment we checked out!

Stay at Little Big Lodge
We really enjoyed the stay. We really enjoyed watching the wildlife and listening to the elk bugling in the evening. The lodge was big enough for our three couples to spread out but yet get together for meals and relaxing after our day's outings. Melissa was very responsive to our questions and a minor issue. We would definitely consider staying here again if in the area.

Great property! Highly recommended! Would do it again!
What a great way to experience Bozeman and Montana. We stayed for 2 weeks with a family couple the first week and friends couple the second week. Hiking, fly fishing, rodeo, touring … so much to do. Local deer and periodic visits by a 100 herd of elk. And star (and satellite) gazing at night. It’s not often we stay somewhere two weeks and less often we don’t want to leave after two weeks but that was the case here. And great owners!

Montana fun.
A little piece of Montana. This is our second stay at little bear cabin and it was even better. The two kitchen, four bedroom, and four bathroom layout is great for four couples. It was very clean and had many updates from our last stay. The outdoors is always the best part. The fire pit and the hot tub are always a big hit. Lots of birds, thank you for the bird seed. Two fawns, many deer, and a large elk heard kept us very entertained during our stay. I would definitely stay again and recommend this house to friends and family.

Scenery, location, layout (2 kitchens!) and charm for the win
The backyard area of this property is reason enough to book this house. The views and sunsets are amazing. We spent almost every morning outside in the backyard, watching the deer or elk through our binoculars, or sitting around the fire pit looking at the stars. Even though the neighbors are close, you still feel isolated and have privacy. The location is ideal - short drive to downtown Bozeman (with plenty of breweries and restaurants in between), or a longer, scenic drive in the other direction to Big Sky or Yellowstone. The inside is charming with a cabin, out-West feel... the coat rack full of cowboy hats was a big hit with our group. Who knew we looked so good with cowboy hats? :) The bedding was comfortable, and there was plenty of supplies in the kitchens for cooking meals. The two kitchens were great - we had an adult beverages fridge in one kitchen, and the other kitchen fridge was for food. Ample room in the den area and dining room area for gathering a group of 10 comfortably - all with big windows facing the backyard with beautiful views. The grill was great too so we could easily grill out a few nights. We used the trails from the front of the house often and almost daily. They are simple trails, but were great for brisk walks to offset all the food we were eating. A few things for potential renters to know (not necessarily negatives, but good info to know before booking so you can plan accordingly): - One of the upstairs king bedrooms is a loft -- which means it's open to the main living space below. The couple that got that room didn't have much privacy in terms of sound, which meant when people were awake in the morning and talking/moving around -- it woke them up too. - The other upstairs king bedroom has a bathroom that is open to the bedroom - meaning, it doesn't have a door. Not a big deal, but is worth knowing if you're booking and want people to stay in that room that aren't comfortable going the bathroom in front of each other. :) - The house accommodates 10 just fine, but that requires using the sleeper sofa. The couple in our group that got this bed said it sagged in the middle and wasn't comfortable - but what sofa bed is comfortable? Just mentioning that maybe this house is best to sleep 8 adults vs. 10. If you have kids, it's probably perfectly comfortable for them. The owner was easy to communicate with and had great local recommendations - very helpful! Overall property is amazing - highly recommend!

THE BEST!!!
The property was like living in a dream. Every evening and morning, 4 -5 deer were at the back porch. One morning a herd of elk moved through the valley. This was a family get together and we couldn't have had a better time. The cabin had everything you could want, especially privacy. I only wish we could have staid 2 weeks, but some people have to get back to work.

First time in Montana - We cant wait to go back!
This house and its surroundings were everything we were hoping and more. It was our first time in Montana and didn't know what to expect. We woke each morning and drank our coffee sitting on the beautiful back porch watching a field of Elk and Bison that were amazing to see, we enjoyed the hot-tub and sat by the fireplace in the evenings. The house was absolutely perfect. The property owners thought of every detail and we felt at home immediately. We cannot wait to go back!! Thank you for letting us stay!

Why they chose this property

One of a kind combination of the perfect property and views with the spacious but charming true Montana log home experience. We had been searching for a few years all around the mountain states and when we drove out of the Canyon and looking around we said "this is it!" To have this place to step away from it all and capture special moments in time with those you enjoy most but with the convince of being close to it all if you want it! A dream come true.
