Large Pet-Friendly Cottage in the Heart of the Village
The Old Post Office in Hognaston sits in the heart of the village and offers comfortable accommodation for up to 8 people and we welcome pets.
There are two lovely living rooms, with wood stoves, and a fantastic dining room with a large table to comfortably seat 8 people. On the first floor are four large bedrooms with double beds (two of which can be separated to create small single beds) and two bathrooms.
This house has lots of original features and is just a lovely place to stay. The village pub is across the street and there are many walks directly from the door through stunning countryside.

We are from this local area and started renting out holiday cottages in 2016. We love this area and are delighted that so many people enjoy their holidays with us. We pride ourselves on creating holiday cottages that we would want to stay in ourselves and we provide a lot of information in advance of each stay so that we can share our local knowledge and help you make the most of your holiday.
Why they chose this property
We fell in love with this property - because it's a bit unusual. It looks small from the outside, but inside it's a tardis and every room is large. There are lots of original features from the time when this was the local post office and it's located in the heart of the village. There's a great country pub just across the road which serves good food. And, it's a short walk across to Carsington water where there is lots to see and do.
