A brilliant stay ⭐️
We had a fantastic stay at Pear Tree Cottage . Kevin met us at the property and was so friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. The area was 'in the sticks' which is exactly what we wanted. There was plenty of room for parking outside the cottage. The heating worked brilliantly and we were never cold, considering it was February. The bedding and towels smelled amazing! The cottage was very clean. I would not hesitate to recommend or stay here again. If I had to pick one draw back it would be that some of the kitchen utensils and pots could be updated...but they were absolutely fine. Diolch!

Great Stay - Friendly Host
Excellent stay. Kevin the host is very friendly and very quick to respond. Many amenities. Perfect location. Massive garden (extends even further than shown in the photos). Would definitely recommend and return. Only minor improvement suggestion is the cleaning was very good in the visible areas but behind the couch or beside tables it could be improved, but overall it was clean.

Charming house
We loved this house, I'd buy it and live here forever if I could. Oodles of character. Sadly weather was too good to light one of the two log burners. A tiny bit of attention to cobwebs in the corners would be ideal but spiders and old houses go together! Only thing I think is needed is pillow protectors, we always take our own pillows but they would have been appreciated. All in all, great house in a pretty village with lots of peace and quiet. Highly recommend

Last minute booking and amazingly central location and comfy Cotswold cottage
Booked last minute as was let down by another holiday company, so found Stay Cotwold so helpful and accommodating. Friendly welcome from Property Manager on arrival and everything explained thoroughly. Great central location for Tetbury and Cotswolds generally. Good sized cottage with most amenities and well thought out and quiet and comfy cottage in beautiful village,. Would happily stay again.

This lovely cottage was one of my favorite places ever! I would love to return.
My family of four truly enjoyed this cottage and we only wish that we could have stayed longer. It's beautiful, comfortable, clean and quiet and delightful in every way.

Beautiful Cotswold Cottage
We enjoyed a very comforable stay at Pear Tree Cottage in the quiet, pretty little village of Cherington. The rooms are a generous size and the house is well equipped and warm. The walking in this part of the Cotswolds is beautiful, with lovely views. Heartily recommended!

Short break in the Cotswolds
Beautiful cottage with garden set in a small village close to all amenities. We were so happy to find this cottage on VRBO. Very cozy rooms and we enjoyed a blazing fire in the wood burning stove. Would definitely stay again if visiting the area.

Wonderful stay
We had an amazing time at the cottage, which is really charming, such as the garden. It is located in a hamlet which is very peaceful and very well located. We had everything we needed in the cottage and Kevin was very welcoming and of good advice. Probably the best place of our two-week road trip and if we come back to the Cotswolds we will try to book the cottage again.

a short stay in the cotswolds
the cottage is very nice situated with enough parking possibilities, has a lovely garden to sit in, a very well equipped kitchen and very nice and cosy interior. we were warmly welcomed by Kevin who showed us around and helped us with places to eat and see. one or two things that need attention are the cooker hood which is very greasy and smells when using and the state of the pillows and duvets on the beds. the linen was clean but the duvets and especially the pillows need to be replaced because of very unpleasant body odour.

Lovely Cottage
Pear Tree Cottage is comfy and cozy and we enjoyed our short break. Unfortunately the weather was dreadful so we couldn’t make the most of the garden but it looked lovely. The area is quiet but near to many places. We’d happily go back to the cottage and hope for better weather!

Great location
Great location, great cottage! This was our summer holiday in the Cotswolds. It was a lovely little cottage very close to many towns and attractions. It was a perfect size for the two of us. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Lovely garden too(just needed a couple of loungers)! We had a wonderful week!

Cherington cottage
Property is stylish but needs sprucing up . Plus very quiet area plenty of walks. Comfortable beds & plenty of hot water. Good base to travel from not sort to rental you would spend much time staying in. Cons No village pub/shops. Kitchen pots/pans glass wear all need replacing and some more garden furniture would be nice. So make more use of the garden (which was very over grown) but gardener was expected soon.

Quaint and quite perfect
Booked this cottage for the weekend for myself, husband and son to spend time with my grandson who lives in the Cotswolds. It was in a perfect location, except we could have done with some amenities closeby. The only downside.

Picture perfect stay
Such a charming and cosy cottage set in the picturesque countryside. A warm welcoming from the property manager, and some great recommendations helped set the mood for our stay. It’s in a fantastic location, only a stones throw away from Tetbury. We opted to eat out the first two nights, and cooked a delicious dinner on our last and sat around the dining table with a cosy lit fire whilst attempting to complete a game the owners so kindly provided us with. On our last day, we walked to the local village of Avening, taking the scenic route on the way there. It took less than 30 minutes each way and The Bell offers great company and a solid pint. We’ve already decided as a group that we will be returning to Pear Tree Cottage - if they’ll have us that is!

Lovely property in cute village
We had a lovely stay and the communication was very good before our arrival. The owners kindly left us some biscuits, milk and wine. Our only suggestion would be for a much bigger television for watching films on a rainy day (the current one is about the size of a computer screen). The carpet in the lounge also smelt a bit as if a dog had been there before. Overall the cottage was lovely and we would stay again. Thank you for having us.

A wonderful stay at Pear Tree Cottage
A lovely Cotswold cottage in a peaceful village, 3 miles from Tetbury. Kevin met us on our arrival to show us round and was a fountain of knowledge about things to see and do in the local area. Very helpful. The cottage is warm and cosy with two wood burning stoves and is very well-equipped. It would be nice to have had a spare cupboard for putting tinned goods etc in as all cupboards are taken up! I had been expecting to find a washer/drier at the property as per the particulars but there is in fact only a washing machine and a full size freezer would be useful for those wishing to be fully self-catering. These are only meant as helpful suggestions as we had a great time and would stay again.

A cosy cottage
Location was excellent for our purpose - visiting gardens - but others might find it a little remote. The house was excellent - very well appointed, clean, tidy and cosy, if a little dark. The garden was very much better than the image on the website. We had some difficulty in downloading some information from StayCotswold: clicking on links resulted in 'Page Not Found', so we had to contact SC for a password to access the 'Portal' for instance. Even that didn't solve everything, so we left some links unexplored. I phoned SC to clear up a couple of uncertainties, for instance to ask if there was a parasol to provide shade. I was assured there was: there wasn't. Some of the inforamtion we were sent in advance, differed from the information in the very comprehensive information pack on site. Kevin, the key-holder, meeter and greeter was spot on time, full of useful information, and reassuring to have nearby. Would we recommend this propeerty to friends or to others? A subjective question, which all depends on what THEY were looking for. It suited us: it may not suit others: that's the nature of holiday rentals (we have previously stayed in highly recommended properties and found them very unsatisfactory for OUR needs). Perhaps your question should read YES / NO / POSSIBLY

4/10 Poor

Stay away from Pear Tree unless your an insect lover, apparently some people have woodlouse a pets!
On arrival the much mentioned Kevin seemed a little curt, maybe put out as we arrived maybe 15 mins after our scheduled plan due to sat nav issues and location of cottage. He briefly showed us the ground floor and mentioned that there was some milk in the fridge and "oh by the way they've left you a packet of biscuits" we assumed this constituted a welcome pack, he never ventured upstairs whilst there. Only when he'd left us and we took our luggage up to the bedroom did we discover the potential reason for Kevins lack of welcome! The master bedroom had approx 14 wood louse on the floor and the second bedroom about 7. After a vacuum and a further discovery of others in the dining room we felt we had an infestation of insects in this cottage. A poor start to the holidays. The kitchen accessories we feel were bought either at a bring and buy sale as everything seemed mismatched, the bread bin had remnants of stale crumbs, cups felt tacky. We've had many cottages over the years and all seemed to provide a suitable welcome pack, having travelled from Newcastle we thought maybe a small welcome pack might've been the minimum provided - not lucky at this cottage. Reading other reviews and due to Kevins speed of exit we did not bother calling him as we'd probably be told that there was a vacuum and expect us to sort it rather than addressing the issue which we felt was a serious damp issue in the property. Be careful on the roads if you venture to this property as they are all single track, don't expect to go out for a walk in the lovely Gloucestershire country side as its too risky with no footpaths For us a very disappointing stay made worse by the infestation of wood louse with which we had to deal with on a daily basis

Fantastisch
