Laity Vean Hideaway - a cottage that sleeps 4 guests in 2 bedrooms
A beautiful sandy beach for lazing on, crystal clear water for paddling in and coastal paths galore for meandering along, Carbis Bay is the perfect place for spending a Cornish holiday as a couple or with friends and family. Set on a quiet street on the outskirts of the town, this delightful cottage is also just a mile and a half from the heart of St Ives and creates a comfortable, well-positioned base from which to enjoy all that the north Cornwall’s iconic coastline has to offer from splendid scenery to some of the county’s best-loved seaside towns and villages.
Tastefully decorated, the cottage’s two bedrooms include a master with super king which can be separated into twin beds on request, and a bright and airy double. Beautifully furnished and spacious, both have high-quality bedding, comfortable mattresses and crisp linen so guests can look forward to a deeply restful night’s sleep after days spent down on the beach. An enclosed garden with a patio creates a peaceful spot to soak up the sunshine while the light-filled and airy open plan living room with Smart television makes an inviting space to unwind in. Discuss the day’s plans over breakfast in the dining area or whip up a delicious home cooked meal in the well-equipped kitchen before heading out to explore.
The nearby towns of Hayle and St Ives can be reached either on foot or via a short train trip on the scenic St Erth line, and Carbis Bay’s stunning beach-front restaurants with their panoramic sea vistas offer an out-of-this-world dining out experience. The town’s award-winning C Spa is also open to the public so for a touch of indulgence visitors can treat themselves to a massage, or a dip in the newly revamped swimming pool while taking in incredible views over the bay.

3rd time of staying which speaks for itself
Lovely location , within wandering distance of Carbis bay and coastal path . Great to see shower has been refurbished and sofas and beds very comfortable .
Only downside was attached property was occupied on this stay and they had a dog which was a bit barky , our own pup is not reactive thankfully so there wasn't an issue and thats not the fault of the property owners. That said it didnt distract us from enjoyment of stay and Cornwall turned its lights on for us and we were able to sit in the dog friendly garden ,so we had a beautiful week .
Would return again , which is endorsement in itself.
We loved staying at The Annex. It was myself and my husband and the location was perfect - outside of the hustle and bustle of the seaside towns but an easy walk into Carbis Bay or St Ives (about 45ish minutes into St Ives which is the perfect length for us but I reckon quite long for a family with small kids). We enjoyed sitting in the conservatory to relax during the evenings. We did have an issue with the shower not draining and someone came out same-day to fix it. It did start to clog back up the morning we left - perhaps something the management company can look at further as we head into the offseason. Overall, we'd definitely come back and would definitely recommend a stay here.

Love this little hideaway
This is our second visit and we have already booked again which says it all .
So comfy and convienant location. The sofas and bed are fab , which isn't always the case in self catering .Easy walk to stunning Carbis Bay with all its amenities .Fab restuarants and cafe ,and the beach or to access coastal path in either direction . Buses at end of road and parking on site .Una resort just round corner where you can swim in pool and outside lido at a cost and use resturant which is worth a visit .
Has privacy but can be wherever you wish within minutes .
Love it .

Really nice and light location
It was a little difficult to find the house by using provided address in Google Maps. We have been routed to another house about 200 Meter away at the same road. The weather was very good. We have had breakfast and even diner outside on some days. And we enjoyed going to Carbis Bay Beach in the morning with our dog. Dogs have been allowed at the beach before 10 am and after 6 pm (at least end of June). But what we have missed was a pub nearby. Of course it was also a nice path at the coast to St.Ives where you can find so many good pubs, places to eas and nice small shops.

Lovely hideaway gem
Loved location , property very comfy , although bathroom is small and could do with updating , albeit I appreciate it is a rustic property . Slight smell from septic tank with drain at end of garden but it was very hot when we stayed ,so appreciate that added to issue .
Secure and private garden which we enjoyed and loved conservatory and sofas , which were very comfortable, which we do not always find in hol lets .
All in all would recommend and will return .
