Secluded beachside cottage in stunning location beside Campbeltown Loch
Small but cosy and romantic. This cottage used to be a fisherman's home and the slipway for his boat can still be seen as you approach the cottage. There are wonderful sea views to Davaar Island, Arran, Ailsa Craig and the Kilbrannan Sound. Ideal for Bird Watching as there is always a wealth of sea birds, seals, otters and dolphins and sometimes whales to be seen from the cottage. There is a separate summer house with comfortable seating and large windows for viewing and bird watching. An ideal location for dog walking along the coastal path.

The cottage is wonderfully appointed with a very cozy feel. Quiet with lots to do. Walk at low tide to an island, visit whiskey distilleries. Overall wonderful.
Just enjoyed our second break at Fisherman's Cottage. Once again a most enjoyable stay in property as described on the tin!
Well isolated for absolute peace and quiet to read and/or watch the many birds, dolphins, seals, and this year the otters too. Just arrived home and missing it already.
A lovely peaceful week was had in the cottage, sitting outside watching the natural world pass by and walking our dogs. Cottage was a little cold until we figured out how to run the central heating and then it became warm and cosey.
Beautiful location, great wild life and stunning views to Davaar, Arran and Ailsa Craig. The maintenance of the cottage was in a neglected condition. We didnt spot there wasnt a washing machine, our fault.
Property (Fisherman’s Cottage) and it’s location even better than was described. We had a very quiet undisturbed week basically watching the tide come and go along with a selection of wildlife. The large summerhouse ideal to continue seal/dolphin watching on cooler evenings. The bird books and binoculars provided by the host very well used. All in all a truly exceptional place to stay. We will return.
Everything we wanted. Peaceful and undisturbed. We watched otters and seals from this cosy and characterful cottage as well as seabirds. A lovely experience.
