Here’s an attractive, well located apartment that’s benefited from a full refurbishment from floor to ceiling, front to back.

You’ll feel real wooden flooring underfoot as you step inside this 1 bedroom property that’s close to the shops, beach and Portsmouth’s Historic Dockyard.

Head right and you’re into the open plan living space – the room where you’ll likely spend most of your waking hours when in the apartment. That’s because there’s plenty to do in here.

You can relax on the sofa (which converts into a double bed if you need it) and watch the Netflix-enabled TV. Whatever you were streaming back home, the story can continue here.

Why not watch while tucking into food you’ve prepared in the adjacent kitchen. Plenty of quality appliances and storage space is to be found in this compact area, with an oven, hob and washer/dryer ensuring you have all the appliances you’d expect to find in a contemporary home. There’s even a Nespresso coffee maker too with a few pods, so you can start each day the delicious way.

Also in here, a table with two chairs, handy for more formal meal occasions, or if you have work to do and prefer placing your laptop on a table rather than your lap!

Head back out into the hall and first on your right is the shower room. There’s something about brand new bathrooms that makes them so attractive and appealing, and you’re sure to enjoy freshening up in the large walk-in shower in here. Help yourselves to the toiletries your hosts will leave in the welcome pack, along with a few other treats.

And the final room is the bedroom, home to a double bed that will be waiting for you with puffed-up pillows and quality bedding. The storage rack will give you somewhere to hang your clothes, while the large mirror will help you perfect your look before you head out.

And speaking of heading out, those double doors open into a little treat of a outside space in the shape of a small courtyard with a table and chairs. It’s somewhere cosy you might like to sip morning coffee or relax with a drink at the end of a busy day.

Your hosts were attracted to the Southsea street where the Percy Place apartment is located by its Victorian heritage and extremely convenient location. Keeping the kitchen cupboards topped up with your favourite food is easy when you stay here, as there’s a supermarket nearby. And when you fancy eating out, you’ll be spoilt for choice with the restaurants and eateries on Albert Rd (less than a 10 minute walk away) and at the Gunwharf Quays destination a couple of miles away.

Entertainment-wise, there’s plenty to keep you busy, with Gunwharf Quays having a cinema and tenpin bowling. Closer to home, you’re sure to find a show to your liking at the Kings Theatre, or why not try The Wedgewood Rooms for live music and comedy.

Portsmouth is brimming with historic places to visit, most of a naval nature of course in the Historic Dockyard that’s a 10 minute drive from the apartment. Don’t miss your chance to explore Nelson’s HMS Victory, or to see the Mary Rose. There are also museums dedicated to D-Day, the Royal Marines and Natural History in the area, along with an Aquarium.

The area gives you plenty of coastline to explore, with beaches and amusement parks to enjoy – if you get the time.

If you’re visiting the area on business, the apartment is within a 15 minute drive of the Airport Service Road Estate, the Naval Base, Broad Oak, North Harbour, Langstone Technology Park and the Queen Alexandra Hospital. And if you’re lecturing or studying at the University of Portsmouth, it’s just over a mile away.

Transport-wise, you have plenty of choice, with buses and taxis serving the area, and it’s just a short walk to Fratton Station which is served by trains that can get you to Portsmouth Harbour in minutes.

Driving here is also a good option, as free parking is available as long as you have permits which can be arranged for you by your host if you let them know you’re bringing your car.
