High quality of accommodation. Couldn't fault it. There were two downstairs en suites which worked as there were two elderly people in our party.
Location was very good to explore the region.
Dog friendly so that was a plus for us.
Highly recommended.
Lovely property and nice location.
A pity about the address details provided on the Website - "Sandpits Ln, hadley end, leacroft, swallows cottage
Burton-on-Trent, England DE13 8PF".
No mention of Leacroft Farm Cottages at the beginning of the address or anywhere within the text, leaving us in the middle of the countryside having followed the Postcode via satnav.
Proplem with lock on bathroom door in twin bed room, leaving one of our party locked in for some time until much shaking and jiggling of the lock from both sides of door.
Everything we needed, loved the surroundings, peace and quiet. Conveniently located to access lots of activities

About the host
Hosted by Claire Fletcher
I was a teacher for over 25 years and retired to run our holiday cottages. We built these by converting farm buildings at our home here in Staffordshire. We used my husband's experience in the travel and leisure business to create 3 high quality cottages. I enjoy running my own business and the flexibility it brings to my life. We love to travel and we do a lot of walking especially in the peak district which is on our doorstep.
Why they chose this property
Swallow cottage is a spacious, high quality cottage with plenty of room for a large family. It's big bedrooms and 3 bathrooms (plus a cloakroom ) make it easy for everyone. The large open plan living/kitchen /dining area mean that families can enjoy time together and in the summer months can spill easily onto the decking and garden outside.
What makes this property unique
Swallow cottage is deceptively large and allows families or groups of friends to enjoy a sociable space in a tranquil , rural setting. It is walkable into the village (10 minutes) where there are 2 pubs and a shop. There is a fantastic local butchers close by and Hoar Cross Hall Day Spa. The central location is perfect as a base for the Midlands.
