Wonderful stay near Colares

Absolutely gorgeous cottage, stunning garden and the most spectacular views from the bedroom and terrace, everything we needed to make our stay comfortable, walked into Colares most days and found the town very welcoming, walked to the convento de capuchos which was a serene and beautiful place, short drive to the beech and Sintra for sightseeing. Malfalda was amazing, what a lovely lady Thank you!

Maison charmante.

Very cozy house in nature

The house was so cozy and perfectly equipped with everything you might need! The garden is big, we were able to enjoy the pool, make barbecues and a fire in the evening. Mafalda was a great host and is a very nice Person. The location was ideal, sintra and surrounding beaches were always reachable within less than 30 min. Definitely recommend this place if you are looking for some peace and quiet, a space to relax and enjoy nature!

Todo muy bien

El alojamiento es estupendo. La piscina está bien y muy limpia. Internet sin problemas. El entorno espectacular. La única "pega" es el lugar se parking que es un "poco escaso". Pero es recomendable el lugar. Gracias Mafalda!!!

Wonderful house in a beautiful location

Very nice house, very well maintained, lovely interior, a nice swimming pool, breathtaking views. Very friendly host managing the property. Fits perfectly well for a trip to this beautiful area.

Tolles Häuschen und super Lage!

Wir haben uns während unseres 2-wöchigen Urlaubs in Mafaldas Häuschen sehr wohl gefühlt. Es ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Auch die Ruhe und die super Lage, haben wir genossen. Viele Sehenswürdigkeiten liegen in der Nähe, tolle Strände und man kann sehr schöne Wanderungen unternehmen. Mafalda war stets für uns da und hat uns gut beraten. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Ein Cottage zum Wohlfühlen

Das Cottage bietet an Ausstattung alles, was man braucht. Dazu kommt viel schön gestalter Platz draußen mit den 3 Terrassen. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig, man erreicht aber auch zu Fuß den Supermarkt und andere Einrichtungen in Colares sehr schnell. Ein guter Standort, um Sintra, Lissabon und die Strände am Atlantik zu erkunden. Wir haben uns von Anfang an sehr wohl gefühlt, was auch an dem freundlichen und zuvorkommenden Empfang durch Mafalda gelegen hat. Wir kommen gern wieder!

La casa es preciosa cerca de muchos puntos de interés, tiene una cama muy cómoda con una terracita y unas vistas increibles, la piscina es privada y es una pasada también!! y Mafalda encantadora. Volveremos seguro!!

Super séjour

Super séjour! Un léger bémol pr l’emplacement parking qui est très petit et en bord de route. Il ne faut pas avoir une voiture plus longue qu’un Nissan Qashqai. Sinon l’endroit est extrêmement reposant! Très propre. Mafalda très gentille ! J’y retournerai avec plaisir c’est un vrai havre de paix.

Schönes Ferienhaus, toller Blick.

Das Haus ist gemütlich eingerichtet und es fehlte uns an nichts. Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt. Von der Terrasse hat man einen tollen Blick ins Grüne. Im Garten befindet sich dann ein schöner privater Pool. Das Haus liegt an einem steilen Hang und wenn man mit dem Auto anreist, muss man sich auf etwas beengte Straßenverhältnisse gefasst machen. Es hat aber trotz allem gut funktioniert. Mafalda hat uns herzlich in Empfang genommen und uns den Weg gezeigt. Von hier aus lassen sich ganz wunderbar die Buchten, Strände und Sehenswürdigkeiten in Sintra erkundigen. Wir können das Haus gern weiter empfehlen und hatten eine wirklich schöne Zeit.

Séjour très agréable

Logement parfait pour 2 personnes. Stationnement un peu délicat sur la petite route mais situé juste de face. Plusieurs escaliers pour atteindre l'entrée. Route un peu empruntée mais peu de bruit car logement bien isolé. Kitchenette avec tout l'essentiel. Chambre avec vue panoramique sur les collines environnantes. Jardin et piscine très agréables. Région qui mérite le détour, très dépaysant. Commerces un peu éparpillés mais Mafalda est de très bon conseil. Météo variable (pas rare d'avoir de la pluie) mais températures très homogènes (21-24° en journée fin juin). Il y a des chances que l'on revienne !

Kleines Paradies inmitten der wilder Natur Sintras

Das Cottage war genau so, wie wir es uns für Sintra vorgestellt hatten. Mit allem Notwendigen ausgestattet, ein wunderbarer Pool umgeben von wunderschöner, wilder Natur, abgeschieden, und doch hat man Supermarkt, Bauernmarkt, Sintra (Schlösser etc.) und das Meer in unmittelbarer Umgebung. Wir hatten wunderbare Tage und würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Fabulous little house, perfect peace and quiet yet very close to all the sights.

We stayed for 2 weeks in September, this house was lovely, spotlesley clean and the garden a joy - so many places to sit and place your sun chair. The pool is lovely and a real bonus. You can enjoy complete peace and tranquility which is just what we look for in a holiday and spent many hours just enjoying being there. The cottage itself is semi detached but there is no one living in the adjoining house. The bedroom is separated from the main living area by steps and a large curtain, as we were a couple this was not a problem for us.and the the panoramic view from the bedroom and the bedroom terrace is a joy to wake up to. It's a lovely bonus to have the choice of bath or shower in the bathroom and if it cools down in the evenings there is a fabulous stove to light in the living room. The kitchen is very compact and there is no oven -just a hob and microwave ( but with the ability to barbeque so easily in the garden you don't need to use the kitchen much), The current microwave is also a grill but a combination oven/ grill/ micro might be useful). Although you have complete peace and quiet the cottage is really not far from Colares (supermarket, great local food store, bank, pharmacy and cafe and restaurant- everything you could need + a great little flea market at the weekends). you can cycle to Colares in 5 minutes. We took our own cycles and also managed to visit Sintra, palace monsarrat, quinta palace and the monastery + the beaches all by cycling (it is hilly but if you have a decent bike it's not a problem). You can walk into the national park from the doorstep or take the tram from Colares to the beach or to Sintra. Lisbon is so easy to visit too, parking in the long stay car park at Sintra is free, the train tickets so cheap and the trains run every 40 minutes, takes only 45 minutes to get there. The parking at the cottage is only on the roadside and it is a tight little space and you have to cross the road and there are steps up to the house so packing and unpacking the car can be tricky but it's worth the effort! Booking with and meeting Mafalda was a really easy process and a pleasure. Would not hesitate to recommend this property and would very much like to return, a fabulous holiday, the locals really friendly , really helpful. Loved it and loved Portugal.
