2 day stay in the forge cottage as a family of four.
2 day stay in the forge cottage as a family of four. Check in was quick and easy and the lady on reception was very friendly and let us check out later on the Sunday which really helped as we had an 8 month old that needed a nap around check out time! Property is really big and spacious and some lovely original features. The sofas were brand new and the beds were comfortable (although the king size was on the hard side but that's just personal preference) the jacuzzi bath was amazing. No welcome pack as such but tea/coffee and milk sachets ( although we threw these as they were 6 months out of date!) few minor details such as the toilets are stained and shower area but I think this is due to high limescale in the local water. There is only blinds in the bedrooms which wasn't a problem in winter but in summer it would get very light in the morning. Little courtyard out the front was cute and I imagine in spring/summer looks beautiful. Shame some guests with dogs had left dog mess around though unfortunately. Park itself is picturesque, lovely walks and the playground was perfect for my 3 year old. We ate at the cafe and had a really nice lunch for reasonable price. Overall a good value stay.
