Rust en zo mooi!

Wij hebben enorm genoten van ons verblijf. Vooral ook om tot rust te komen. Er is genoeg te doen in de omgeving. En ontzettend lekker geslapen!

I am a Scottish textile designer and teacher and share Little Redgate with my retired husband David. These days I mainly design knitwear specialising in Fair Isle using Scottish yarn. We do a lot of walking in the area with our dog Hamish who is a Dandie Dinmont, we have travelled extensively in Scotland and we love to share our knowledge about this great country. We have a very large garden which takes up quite a lot of our time, we have been working on it since we moved here in 2018 and we are starting to see the results of all our hard work.

Why they chose this property

Little Redgate is surrounded by nature and our garden has an abundance of it. Red Squirrels and a great variety of birds are constant visitors. We overlook the River Tay and because we have little light pollution we have great stars at night.

Little Redgate is light, cosy and comfortable and you can do plenty or very little from here. We are in a great location for sporting activities or seeing the rest of Scotland - or maybe you'll choose to chill, relax and enjoy the space and scenery.

What makes this property unique

As well as having wonderful Highland scenery the area offers a lot of sporting activities which can be booked locally. Most sports are linked to the River Tay : whitewater rafting, kayaking etc. The area has great walking and cycling. We also have a golf course in Strathtay and have many to choose from in the area.

If you would like a slower pace we have many places to visit - should you fancy a wee dram there is the Dewars Distillery in Aberfeldy to visit and more distilleries to choose in the area. We have the towns of Aberfeldy, Pitlochry and Dunkeld with plenty of nice places to have lunch and in Grandtully we have a Chocolatier for all things chocolate, the Grandtully Hotel for fine dining and the Inn on the Tay for more good dining and beer.

Our location is also perfect for setting off North into the Highlands, West to the stunning coast, East to the gently rolling Perth countryside and South where you could take in the capital Edinburgh or Glasgow.

You tailor your visit to Redgate.
