The Caledonian Canal, which runs through the village's north-west corner and provides an easy access to adjacent sights such as Caol Beach, Neptune's Staircase, and Old Inverlochy Castle, is famed for its magnificent vistas of the surrounding mountain ranges. There are two takeaways, Sammy's Fish & Chip Shop and The Golden River Takeaway, as well as The Lochy, a traditional bar and restaurant, and a neighbouring convenience shop where you can fill up on basics. The popular town of Fort William is within easy driving distance of the town, and it is here that you will find additional attractions and outdoor activities such as the famed Ben Nevis, Steall Waterfall, and a plethora of museums and visitor centres.

A perfect place to stay
We had a wonderful stay at this property with my family and dog. It is an interesting property with bedrooms on the ground floor and a large living space on the first floor. We had ample room to feel comfortable. The property was very clean and tidy with a compact but perfectly fitted and kitted out kitchen. We found the property very peaceful and perfectly located for walks up the Caledonian Canal towpath and coffee at the Moorings hotel overlooking the locks of Neptune's Staircase. Fort William was about 3miles away and had plenty pubs and shops to provide all necessary provisions. We spent 2 weeks at the property and very much appreciated the peace and tranquility. Thank you for a wonderful time.

Immaculate vacation home
Very comfortable accommodations in Fort Williams. Comfy beds, hot showers, washer and dryer…..everything was pristine and new. Would definitely recommend!!!
