North Yorkshire barn, peaceful farm stay with beautiful views
A very light and lofty living space has been created from the old farm stable on a working family farm. It boasts glorious views of the surrounding 240 acres of mixed farmland, including woods and an attractive pond area. The old stable has cosy underfloor heating throughout and has been decorated and furnished simply in sympathy with its very rural setting. It makes for the perfect romantic retreat or quiet family holiday.

This place is amazing, we stay in a different location every other weekend - and this is the best place we’ve stayed at.. it’s ticks every box.. absolutely perfect, you’d never regret booking this place!!!
The property was easy to find and located in a beautiful location. We were greated by the owners and shown around the stunning property. The photos just don't do it justice.
It really did feel like a home away from home and would not hesitate to stay here again.
The style and decor of The Old Stable was top class.
A lot of thought has been made by the hosts, to make sure that whatever you may need is provided for.
The hosts, a warm and friendly couple, (along with their gorgeous new puppy) couldnt have done more for us.
Hands down the best home away from home we've stayed at!
The house was in every detail perfect. Debbie took care of everything. It was cosy, very comfortable and furnished with a great taste. The beds were very good. The kitchen was particularly well equipped. The welcome was warm with a lot of homemade surprises. The house is situated on a farm, a little bit in the middle of nowhere, with breathtaking views on the surrounding landscape. We felt so happy there! Thanks so much Brian and Debbie!
Our family group of four adults have just spent three nights at this superb well equipped property. The extras of cake, scones, home baked bread and other treats left by our hosts were very much appreciated on arrival. A lovely quiet location with beautiful scenery surrounding this recent old stable conversion. It has been tastefully done and brought bang up to date. Although the weather wasn't kind to us we had a thoroughly relaxing weekend and will definitely be staying again.
My family (two adults, two children under 12) spent three nights in this converted barn, and we loved every second of it. The place was spotless, well equipped with everything we could possibly need or want (including fresh-baked bread and scones!), and very comfortable. Debbie and her husband were gracious hosts throughout our stay, and their friendly and playful farm dog Monty kept our kids occupied for hours. We all feel genuinely refreshed and reenergised after our altogether-too-short stay. We will definitely be going back.
From the moment we arrived we were impressed. The property is a recent stable conversion and everything brand new. All the household goods you could possibly need also a laundry room. The pictures do not do justice to the property. We were met by Debbie and Brian on arrival and they could not be more helpful, with information on surrounding area and places to visit. Also shopping and restaurants in the area. So many places within easy reach, Richmond, Catterick, Hawes, Barnard Castle and Whitby to name a few. I give the accommodation a 5 star rating and highly recommend it.
It's absolutely stunning, the property and the surroundings are exquisite.
We spent a week here, switched off. From the moment we to a look out of the beautiful gable end window we felt instantly relaxed. To witness so much nature right on the doorstep was wonderful.
We enjoyed some lovely walks around the local area, down to the beautiful pond. and being walked by the charming Monty. We had a tour of the farm from farmer Brian, and now appreciate more the hard work that goes into running a farm of this size.
There was everything we could have needed for our stay and more. The stable is exceptionally well thought out with beautiful design, with complimentary furnishings and art works.
We booked to come back almost as soon as we got home, Monty we're coming back!!
This property lives at the end of a long country road. And the moment we opened the door we were impressed. The huge living room/farm kitchen was comfy and perfectly decorated. The host Debbie and her husband Brian had gone out of their way to make us comfortable. Debbie left, homemade brown bread, six eggs from her chickens, four homemade scones and milk, juice, jam and butter. The beds were super comfortable with beautiful linens and warm duvets. Everything was spotless. And the place had every amenity you could imagine from tissues in the bathroom, luxury, soaps and shampoos, to high-quality towels. And there was everything one could need in the kitchen. Debbie and Brian were amazing and helpful. I would recommend this property to anyone for a wonderful holiday.
This home is surrounded with beautiful scenery, very well equiped and maintained. Owners were very welcoming and appreciated the personal touch which made our stay special. Great place to stay for relaxing and enjoying nature.
There aren't enough superlatives to adequately describe how good this treasure is. Lovely & thoughtful hosts, gorgeous barn conversion, nothing too much trouble, wonderful walks, friendly farm dog... I could go on but won't. In a nutshell - it would be a joy to return.
