The impressive Hemblington Hall Grade II, with origins dating circa 1690, a house of architectural and historic importance, standing in peaceful countryside boasting views over rolling fields and beyond. The property offers a fascinating back story and now refurbished as the owners’ family home. The hall is separated as two separate dwellings to provide spacious holiday accommodation perfect for families and friends seeking a peaceful and relaxing holiday.
At the rear, within its garden, is the outdoor heated swimming pool. Immediately on stepping inside the hall, you are met by the impressive sweeping staircase, high ceilings, and large windows which flood the home with light. Decorated and lovingly furnished to provide a wonderful holiday abundant with space. A spacious living room with a wood burner, dining room and kitchen on the ground floor. The sweeping staircase leads up to first floor with spacious double bedroom and family bathroom. The stairs continue up again to the incredibly spacious attic bedroom easily accommodating four single beds and shower room with toilet. Outside there are the shared lawn gardens approaching 1.6 acres, offering plenty of opportunity for little ones to run off their excitement, and also opportunity to enjoy your own privacy.
Having a central location allows you to enjoy and explore Norfolk’s amazing coastline and the famous Norfolk Broads National Park within 15 minutes’ drive. The village of Hemblington is a few minutes’ drive, and offers an excellent Indian takeaway, complimented and very popular with local residents, a village shop and local farm shop. Many gastro pubs serving great food are within short driving distance. The RSPB nature reserve at Strumpshaw Fen is a haven for birdwatchers and nature lovers. The Fairhaven Gardens at South Walsham makes for a lovely day out and BeWILDerwood Adventure Park, an award-winning forest of family fun and outdoor adventure with treehouses, wobbly wires, storytelling and boat rides. The Norfolk Broads is best explored by renting a day boat or enjoy a river trip. Canoeing and kayaking are also available.
Why not jump on the Bure Valley railway to enjoy a steam train journey that will take you from Wroxham, known as the capital of the Norfolk Broads, onto the lovely Georgian market town of Aylsham, where you can jump on and off mid station at the poplar broadland village of Coltishall with riverside pubs and cafés. The City of Norwich has castles, museums, cathedrals, historic riverside pubs, great restaurants, two indoor shopping malls and plenty of high street shops to enjoy some retail therapy. Sandy beaches at Caister-on-Sea, Scratby, Hemsby, Sea Palling and Winterton-on-Sea. National Trust’s Horsey Gap (15 miles) where you can walk on the sand dunes and see the seals and pups on the beach from November to February. Lively traditional seaside resort at Great Yarmouth (12 miles) for wide sandy beach, donkey rides, pier with fun fair, amusements, crazy golf, model village, wax works, promenade rides can be enjoyed on the train and traditional horse drawn carriages. Why not enjoy a day at the races, both horse and dog racing stadiums. Golf courses nearby at Blofield and Sprowston. Beach 12 miles.
