The cottage is cosy with everything you could need. Bedrooms were lovely with lots of storage space. Loved the log fire and garden with views over the trees. Really great to be able to let the dogs out. Summerhouse was fantastic although we didn’t get much use of it as quite cold. Really nice area with local walks.
Quirky little cottage. Lovely views, very comfortable. Would have liked more information about the local area before the day before arrival.
Enclosed garden. Perfect for our small dog.
This cottage has many features to make it a cozy, comfortable, yet convenient place to stay. Our children enjoyed the spiral staircase, hidden closet spaces, and garden sitting room :) most features were on the small side but perfect for a holiday getaway to remember!
Very sweet little cottage in a good location and very well presented. Lovely garden & summerhouse, a little tight in the kitchen and upstairs shower but the upside forgives that. Nice neighbours too, would stay there again
We had a lovely time staying here, very clean and close to lots of lovely walks. Only thing to note is the property is a lot more snug than we expected, we went with two couples and 3 dogs and only just fit but we still had a nice stay.
Visiting for a wedding we had a lovely time. Cottage is a gem in a stunning location. So nice to sit at the bottom of the garden and catch the sun into the evening. Looking forward already to another visit when possible. Dog friendly.
The property is beautifully presented and warm. It is tiny and it is on a main road, the noise from which woke us. We enjoyed the summer house on a couple of sunny afternoons. Great location.
Enjoyed our stay in the cottage very clean, but did feel quite crammed with 4 adults, kitchen was very very small and really only able to fit one person in at time.
Bedrooms and bathrooms very nice but downstairs smaller than we thought.
Newly refurbished and cosy cottage in a beautiful location. The cottage was warm inside on arrival, appreciated this as we soon warmed up.
Beds are really comfortable. Only thing we personally needed which was not supplied was a clothes airer. Being winter, we couldnt dry things outdoors. Otherwise the cottage has everything you need for your stay. The agent took his time getting back to you. We really enjoyed our stay and would come again.
We totally fell in love with the cottage not huge but had everything you needed, my son enjoyed being chief fire starter and winnie our pup totally made herself at home infront of it. Fabulous bathroom's the house looks recently renovated to a hire standard. Close to Bakewell and other places of inrerest we had a great walk up near the starion .
We stayed here with another couple and our two dogs. The cottage was cosy but never cramped. All the amenities were great and the dog box was an added bonus. The wood burner could do with an axe to make some smaller fire wood for starting the fire. The location is perfect with lots of walks on the doorstep and some lovely local pubs. The weekend we went featured lots of flooding and some better communication from the property manager on the check in day would have been good.

Such a wonderful place to stay! Peaceful, quiet, gorgeous location. Easily drivable to great hiking and cute towns. Absolutely zero issues and would rent here again the next time I'm in the area
The cottage was lovely, everything you need, nicely decorated and very homely. The doggy welcome pack was well received by Bess, and the garden is great for dogs (and people).
Grindleford is also a great location for exploring the area and further afield.
A definte recommendation from us!
Stunning cottage, a real home from home. Kitchen was compact and bijou but was kitted out very well. Fabulous walks literally from the front door. The weather was not particularly kind to us and our miniature dachshund who hates the rain but we made the best of it. Local pubs and nearby restaurants all warm and very welcoming. A thoroughly enjoyable 5 day break.
Lovely property with a totally secure garden, perfect for our Spaniel. Refurbished to a high standard, the living space and kitchen was smaller than I expected and it’s worth noting that there is not a microwave. The dog hamper was a lovely touch. Lots of road parking and a great location for exploring the Peaks.
Cottage was well equipped but smaller living space than I thought. Bedrooms/bathrooms super. Weather was great so we could eat outside. Garden was lovely space. Only 2 of us so could have fitted inside. Not sure if 4 of you but then would probably eat out. Great location. Biggest issue was the main road. It was incredibly noisy all through the night. I think traffic had been diverted so would check before I booked
Property was in the centre of a lovely . Garden was perfect for our two dogs and totally enclosed. Cottage was finished to a very high standard, although it’s worth noting that the main road outside can be quite noisy with traffic, particularly at office times. Fortunately, we’re used to it so it didn’t bother us, Five star all the way and would recommend for a stay in the Peak District. A must visit is Chatsworth House a short dive away. Absolutely stunning.
