Beautiful property & location
Stunning location and property. Beautiful dog friendly beach within a mile, lots of dog friendly places to eat and visit. We visited the shire horse farm, we went dolphin watching with sea mor in new quay and went to a beautiful gardens amongst visiting many beaches. We booked last minute due to a host cancelling a holiday through vrbo a few days prior to us being due to going. We are so glad to have stumbled across this hidden gem as it’s truly serene and there is so much to see and do. When we arrived we realised one bedroom was upstairs and one downstairs which we didn’t notice this being mentioned on vrbo, it probably wouldn’t be an issue for most however our small children are monkeys and our 2 year old was soon leaning over the bannister from the sofa if I went to the loo downstairs so couldn’t be unattended upstairs despite the excellent stair gate so we all huddled together upstairs. When we pulled out the trundle initially it was very evident that a dog had been on the lower bed and that this had not been picked up by the cleaner. Despite us having a dog ourselves and not being fussy by any means we didn’t feel comfortable with our youngest sleeping on it as it was dirty as well as very hairy. Emma and Meg were very responsive through vrbo and brought us sheets around quickly so this was rectified and it did not spoil our stay one bit. We also didn’t realise that we had to request towels, again probably us not reading thoroughly enough with the last minute booking so we had to buy some extra as we only took 2. The grill also hadn’t been cleaned but other than that the place was pretty spotless! The internet wasn’t strong enough for the kids to watch a film through Amazon which may bother some people. We also couldn’t fathom out despite reading the welcome book how to turn the radiators on just for the bathroom to warm towels up ect and due to the back garden being shady even on a warm sunny breezy day we couldn’t get our washing dry in a day so the radiators would have been useful just to finish drying some bits off. Check out time was 10am as far as I was aware but the cleaner turned up at about 930am and was out of her car lurking around at 950 so we felt under pressure to leave asap and didn’t unfortunately get to write in the guest book which would have been nice as we found the recommendations within it really useful. We will certainly be back hopefully and Pembrokeshire has certainly won us over :)
