Approached along a private driveway, Woodlands offers excellent parking for at least 4 vehicles. On the ground floor, there is a spacious, well equipped farmhouse style kitchen/dining room with large gas hob and oven, as well as an electric fan oven, dishwasher, large fridge/freezer and Nespresso coffee machine, together with a lovely conservatory room with double doors out to the rear garden – perfect for breakfast or larger family meals. There is also a separate utility room with large washing machine and dryer. The children’s playroom / den is located off the hallway next to the kitchen and is an ideal spot for youngsters to get together to watch TV, play games, play on the Sony Wii or just relax after a fun filled day at the beach or surfing at Watergate Bay or Fistral beach. There is a large double bedroom suite with private bathroom on the ground floor, which is idea for guests who prefer not to use the stairs. There is a useful downstairs cloakroom off the hallway as well as a separate downstairs lavatory.

Upstairs there is a large light and airy reception room with doors out to a private balcony overlooking the rear garden. The second bedroom has a king size bed with en-suite shower room; the third bedroom is a double room with en-suite shower room; the fourth bedroom is a twin room but can be made into a king size bed by zipping the mattresses together. There is a lovely children’s bedroom with raised single bed. A large family bathroom is also upstairs. The property also benefits from having high speed broadband.

The rear garden has a wide lawned area with a paved patio and access to a large raised decking area, with outdoor seating - ideal to relax on and enjoy the evening sun. For the children, there is an enclosed wooded area, with winding paths that lead through the wood, and provide an exciting pay ground for children of all ages as it is really quite magical. This is securely fenced all around the perimeter.
The front of the property has a large hard standing area that comfortably offers space for up to 4 cars.

Please note: Newquay Airport is located a few hundred yards for Woodlands, and whilst flights are infrequent, there can be some low level noise during take off and landings.

Woodlands is ideally located for fantastic surfing beaches, family friendly beaches, an endless array of amazing restaurants, bars and cafe’s and some of the best scenery in the world.

The property is located barely 5 minutes drive from Watergate Bay which has over two miles of golden sand at low tide, stretching towards Newquay, and out to sea enormous waves come in from the Atlantic providing a spectacular sight and a popular surfing and kitesurfing spot.
Fistral Beach is one of the world’s top surfing destinations, backed by high cliffs and sand dunes, making it a playground for hundreds of enthusiasts who flock to the beach to get a fix of the big waves. All the big UK surf competitions take place here including the Famous Night Surf, Boardmasters Surf Championships and National Surf Championships, so be sure to check your diary to see what’s on.
North Cornwall has become one of the best known destinations for foodies, with a wide range of eateries in the area. Here are just a few of our favourites:

For the traditional Cornish Cream Tea, try St. Mawgan Tea Room, which is a ten minute walk away, or try Scott & Babs for a tasty pizza or an evening drink (you will need to book early and in advance). For a hearty sandwich, try Hawkeye’s Cafe.

Padstow has become one of the UK’s premier destinations for foodies, and it’s easy to see why. You have to try Rick Steins Café, with its ever-changing menu of seasonal fish. For a hearty breakfast, why not try Ben’s Crib Box Café or if you fancy somewhere different, Bin Two on the South Quay is the perfect place to watch the world go by, and it’s dog friendly too. If Italian is your cuisine of choice, Embers Wood Fired Pizza in Market Place could be the place to visit. Other restaurants worth trying include Green’s Of Padstow, Rafferty’s Café & Wine Bar and Prawn on the Lawn.

Newquay also has many different cuisines on offer, such as Estrella Morada Bar de Tapas, which is both lively and reasonably priced. For a evening to remember, The Fish House is hard to beat. The Fish Bar on Morfa Hall Cliff Road offers some of the best fish around or for a traditional Sunday Roast, 12 Beach Road is well worth trying.

The South West Coastal Path offers over 630 miles of stunning scenery, but you don’t have to walk it all! There are dozens of circular walks that start within a few miles of Woodlands. There are many challenging golf courses within reasonable driving distance too, including Newquay Golf Club, St. Enodoc Golf Club and the courses at Holywell Bay.

Review of woodlands
We had a wonderful holiday, nice location, we think we may have been the 1st people in, there was a arrangement of cobwebs in many of the rooms, we found left over food by one of the couches in the games room, we also felt that work on the other deck should have been done, ie repair the fence panels, repair the decking and make that area safe, in general I would recommend this property, great location, enough space in the house for everyone one. I would go back again. Good parking

Woodlands house/villa review
The house itself was quite large and very roomy. Plenty of parking space for quite a few cars if need be, so no problems turning car around on drive. Although located near a local airport, there was surprisingly little noise and was a point of interest to watch the helicopter/planes coming and going. There was some minor problems we encountered during our stay but overall we were happy with the acommodation and its location to the beaches of Porth, Watergate and Morgan Porth.

Woodlands
We stayed here for the last week of the summer holidays, the house is very large and we had ample room for the 10 of us, it’s also pet friendly but we decided not to take the dog in the end. The bedrooms are good sizes, as is the kitchen and conservatory. Outdoor areas were good with plenty of garden furniture as we sat outside most evenings and had the odd BBQ. Laundry room came in handy as we had to wash some clothes! The property has everything you need, hoover, ironing board, hairdryers etc Location was across the road from the Newquay airport which is probably the quietest in Britain!! Apart from the odd jet and helicopter taking off(which the kids loved)you wouldn’t know it’s there! There’s a pub next door which was very friendly and we could watch the footy in! Again it was pretty quiet and you didn’t hear much noise. All in all it was a great place to stay! If we go to Cornwall in that size group again we would definitely stay here!
