We've stayed at Towan Valley a few times now and loved it every time. Shame the first few days were shrouded in low cloud but we just chased the sun in our car when we needed to.
We were really pleased with Trerew. It was a really good size. All the bedrooms were great and the open plan downstairs was great for a family holiday. The hot tub was a real treat. It was great being walking distance to the village. Kids loved Porthtowan beach. Great for bodyboarding…. We loved the Blue Bar. Even storm Antoni couldn’t spoil it. 👍
When we arrived the little eco lodge community, for want of a better phrase, was very pleasant and well kept. The location was great, a 5 min walk to the beach and cafe, and the house smelled and looked fresh and clean. There was a gift of apple juice and cupcakes left for us, which was a lovely little detail. The hot tub was clean and had been freshly changed. Overall a lovely place. The only slight area for improvement would be the carpet on the stairs was looking a little grubby and could do with a shampoo. Had a great holiday and it was possibly the nicest holiday accommodation we have stayed in.
This property is the absolute perfect place to be for a young family looking to get away from a bit of hustle and bustle and unwind amongst some stunning coastal scenery.
The property itself is a well appointed house with everything you'll need to make your stay super comfortable, including a generously sized hot-tub. 3 good sized bedrooms with ensuite for the master.
The kitchen and living room area are all stocked with mod cons and very easy to use.
The house itself is very clean and not cluttered.
The local area is amazing, with 3 genuine high quality pub/bar/restaurants within 5 minute walk of the house. All 3 are within 100 yards of the beach providing stunning views.
The village store has everything in stock you'll need to make your stay as homely as possible.
The walks around the area are started straight from the doorstep allowing us to not have to use the car for our entire week stay.
By the end of the week we had finally managed to tire out our 20 month boxer dog from all the walks and beach visits we had.
Communication with the property owners was quick and easy as well. We had no issues in the property, but I felt assured that if I did they would have been sorted quickly and painlessly.
Absolute 10/10 location. We'll definitely be looking to book again.
Lovely, peaceful position up a windy gorse edged track, which you walk down to get to the beach….. I never go back to the same place twice but I am seriously thinking of booking to go to this property again.
I loved the living roof, equipment available in the house, good TV.. Wifi reception.
The position between St Ives and Newquay was just what I wanted.
Thank you to the owners for renting it out.
Amazing holiday, property was perfectly placed, had everything we needed and the whole booking process from start to finish was seamless and easy informative
Will certainly return when back down this way!
We found this ideal for our last minute getaway. The hot tub wad great and a short walking distance to the beach! Porthtowan is very small but compared to the likes of St ives etc it is lovely to go and get away from it all!
Lodge was clean, Rachel and Nick have been brilliant throughout and there was everything we needed.
Safe to say we would love to be back next year! Xx
