Offering the flexibility of accommodating a larger family yet still comfortable and cosy for a couple, Suilven offers the main accommodation on the ground floor with two fantastic single bedrooms on the first floor. The main entrance is into the open-plan kitchen/diner, which offers a contemporary living space ideal for eating and socialising. A hallway from the kitchen leads to the spacious master bedroom, a cosy twin bedroom and the separate living room enjoying views over the rear garden. Stairs from the kitchen lead upstairs to the two single bedrooms, which offer plenty of space. There is also an additional family bathroom with walk-in shower plus a separate toilet on the ground floor. Set away from any busy roads, it has ample parking for two cars. The large garden is mostly lawn surrounded by mature trees, bushes and shrubs with a sitting out area situated at the front of the property.
A bustling west coast harbour town, Oban has lots going on for the visitor at any time of the year. Central for touring Argyll and known as the “Gateway to the Isles”, with ferries leaving daily to many of islands, such as Mull, Iona, Staffa, Lismore. In keeping with its reputation as the Seafood Capital of Scotland, there are some excellent restaurants, cafes and pubs, for relaxing after a pleasant day out exploring all the wonderful scenery and interesting attractions which Argyll has to offer. In Oban itself, you can enjoy a pleasant stroll along the Esplanade at sunset, or walk through the Dunollie woods to Dunollie Castle and Museum. There is a lovely sandy beach at Ganavan, just two mile’s drive or walk along the coastal road. There’s a kayaking centre which launches directly into Oban Bay and daily wildlife spotting boat trips from the Esplanade. Suilven is a five minute walk to the iconic McCaigs Tower, the Colosseum style building which sits above Oban and offers fantastic views over the town, Oban Bay and the islands beyond.
