Amazing four poster bed, linen, blankets etc. Great decor throughout. Lovely host. Loved seeing the horses, Shetland ponies and the donkey from our decking, and stroking them. Brilliant log burner.

Booked as a surprise for my partner. Arrived after dark which made it feel even more special as felt so secluded and added to the element of surprise. It was amazing to wake to the snore of the pig and the calling of the cute little donkey! The bed is super comfortable, the duvet literally hugs you! Was such a special little break away. You are surrounded by nature in perfectly maintained grounds but if you do need to pop out, Hastings is just 20 mins drive. The best part about it was we didnt even see the hosts. They had the cabin ready for us and were available if I needed help but left us to enjoy the peace and quiet. Thanks for making his birthday special!
Tucked away on the corner of paddocks this is a peaceful getaway. We stayed for two nights. Cabin was spotlessly clean and the bed was so comfortable and warm. Lovely log burner that we only used once. Shower lovely and hot. Outside there are paddocks with two horses and two Shetlands. There is also a pig that kept us entertained with her snoring. Alpacas in the adjacent field.
Breakfast is no longer included but we had brought enough with us so this wasn’t an issue.
Carla the host is very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Would recommend this chilled out place.
From the moment you get there it’s amazing, host was lovely. Loved the attention to detail. Beautiful cozy room in a beautiful place. Will definitely be going back, felt relaxed and chilled. Absolutely perfect.
Host was so friendly upon arrival and made check in very easy. The property and parking were easy to find. The property itself was very clean and cosy and had everything you could possibly need. The bed was so comfortable and we loved the woodburner and shower. We LOVED LOVED LOVED waking up to the sights and sounds of the animals in the morning and being able to get up close and feed them made the stay extra special. We cannot wait to return!

About the host
Hosted by Carly Taylor
After purchasing a run down farmhouse in 2017, as a family we set about utilising and sharing our stunning farmstead, deep in the countryside of Sussex. Originally used as a family retreat, we now offer to guests as the space was to special not to share. Come and meet our animals, our very friendly if a little naughty Donkey, errant Shetlands, and big horses, two large pet pigs, as well as our neighbouring alpacas, all add to the immersion in nature we offer. Watch the Red Kite in flight soaring above the cabin on a daily basis, or just relax inside with a crackling fire in our woodburning stove.
Why they chose this property
The cabin is a true retreat from day to day life, we are blessed to be located deep in the countryside, but only a five minute drive from the beautiful towns of Battle and Hastings and a short hop from Rye with is history seeping from every doorway. The coast is five minutes away, with Jurassic beaches at Pett and Fairlight, Amazing walks including some awesome village pubs.
What makes this property unique
Quiet, private, immersed in nature, but close enough to take in everything this amazing area has to offer, transport links to nearby stations and a short hop in a taxi for those without a car. Everything is provided, towels shampoos cleaning materials, linen tea coffee and continental breakfast, just bring a bottle of something delicious, or walk over to the vineyard and have a tasting before you buy.
