Filthy Paris apartment
I'm giving this place one star due to great location. I've stayed at many VRBO rentals in US and Europe, and this place was filthy. It had not been cleaned in months, possibly years. I had to clean counter/desk surfaces before I could use them, and the paper towels were black with grime. Shower and toilet were gross; I also had to clean those. Didn't look like microwave had ever been cleaned. Every door and cabinet handle was grimy and greasy. The host didn't have trash bags, so she asked me to buy them for her. Multiple items were broken -- coffee/water pot, window blind (which allowed neighbor across the street to see directly into apartment), lamp shade, and dishwasher. All of these are minor things, but speaks to the general poor condition of the property. Owner left her personal bathrobe hanging on the bathroom door. Overall, VRBO has a good reputation, but this property should not be listed by your company as it's not representative of the quality rentals I have previously experienced. I should not have to pay cleaning/servicing fees when I had to do the cleaning and generally tried to touch as little as possible during my stay. I would never recommend staying in this property to anyone.
