As its name suggests, this fabulous property is the archetypal cottage with roses round the door. In a wonderful location, this is a great place for a romantic or restful holiday. Surrounded by rural countryside, the cottage is just a 5-minute drive from the popular market town of Blairgowrie, situated on a farm on the edge of the Scottish Highlands. Beautifully and sympathetically furnished, it is perfect for discerning couples who are looking for a restful break in idyllic surroundings. The interior with its high ceilings and open plan lounge and kitchen gives it a light and airy feel, while the gas wood burner is very authentic and makes the cottage delightfully snug in winter. Although the sofas in the living room are very comfortable they are also very low.
Up a small flight of stairs is a tasteful double bedroom whilst on the lower level, a generous shower room with underfloor heating and rain shower completes the comfort. Outside, there is a lovely sitting out area for relaxing or enjoying a drink after a day out exploring the lovely surrounding Perthshire countryside.
The area is full of activities and attractions; with many excellent golf courses to try - there are three golf courses in Blairgowrie (including a championship course) alone. The Perthshire Hills and the Angus Glens are easily accessible and popular with hillwalkers; there is skiing at Glenshee 25 miles and salmon fishing on the rivers Tay, Isla and Ericht, and with plenty of opportunities for shooting and stalking on local estates., whatever you choose to do, you will want to return to this gorgeous part of Scotland.
