Looking for a holiday in Belgium with a large family or group of up to 10 persons? This 5-bedroom castle in Spa with a private heated swimming pool is the right spot for you. You can enjoy a splendid holiday here. Overlooking Lake Warfaaz and set on the Balmoral cliff road, the castle offers a great view of the Spa region. For a pleasant day out, there is a lake at 1 km. To buy groceries, the supermarkets are 3 km away. The town center is 5 km if you wish to enjoy the street life. The castle has central heating and fireplace for comfort. You can relax on the private furnished terrace after returning form excursions. In the private garden, nature lovers can spend hours sitting in the fresh air and admiring the surroundings. Evenings are better when you gather around a hot barbecue with some wine. You can also play billiards here. Parking is available.
For reasons of tranquillity, this holiday home will not be rented to groups of youngsters It is strictly forbidden to organise any student party, bachelor party or drinking party in this house

Het kasteel (exterieur) was erg mooi en straalt klasse en historie uit. Bij binnenkomst onder de indruk en heeft mooie klassieke stijl. Daarna de ene op de andere teleurstelling. De kookplaten in de keuken werken voor geen meter en een aardappel bakken duurt minimaal een half uur. Overal was het ijskoud en het waaide ivm de ligging en slechte isolatie enorm door de woning heen. De sauna werkte niet naar behoren en van alle tv’s binnen was er 1 met een aantal zenders buiten Franse en Belgische om. Het signaal op de kamers was erg slecht en er was meer sneeuw dan beeld te zien. De meest onaangename verrassing was dat ‘meterstanden’ waren ingevuld. Weet niet op basis waarvan. Ook na 3 nachten (4 dagen) zijn we eerder naar huis gegaan vanwege de gebreken. Als verrassing ontvingen we nog een rekening voor verbruik van 260€! Dan te bedenken dat beneden alleen de radiotor heeft aangestaan. Ook hier werden de stonden weer ingevuld. Dit was de policy. Hadden geen zin in discussie en zijn gegaan.

Zeer mooi huis en het uitzicht is onbetaalbaar. Echter is comfort qua zitgelegenheid niet echt aanwezig, zowel binnen als buiten is het meubilair aan vervanging toe. Bijna elke dag hadden wij ongenode gasten die langs kwamen, zij het om het chateau te bezichtigen en andere dagen was het de eigenaar die kwam schilderen of een nieuw bad plaatsen. Zo heb je niet veel privacy. Bij aankomst waren de meterstanden e.d al ingevuld zonder deze aan ons te laten zien, bij vertrek had de eigenaar autopech en kon dus niet met ons afrekenen. Er werd afgesproken dat het resterende bedrag van de borg(800 euro) dezelfde dag op onze rekening zou worden gestort, dit is nu 5 dagen geleden en wij hebben nog niets ontvangen. Al met al een mooie ervaring maar wij komen hier niet terug.

Prachtige locatie, in een adembenemende setting. Het zwembad, terras en barbecue zijn heerlijk met uitzicht naar Lac de Warfaaz. De keuken en de faciliteiten zijn wel wat verouderd en aan vervanging toe. De omschrijving klopt niet geheel: er is wel een wasmachine op de tweede verdieping maar geen kinderbed. De zwembad is iets kleiner dan beschreven en er zijn geen extra badhanddoeken aanwezig. Schrik niet van de energie rekening achteraf....

We hebben genoten! De gastvrouw Sandrine is hartelijk en behulpzaam. Het kasteel is werkelijk prachtig en de ligging adembenemend. Onze kinderen (pubers) hebben zich kostelijk vermaakt, het kasteel zelf biedt veel mogelijkheden om lekker bezig te zijn. De pooltafel was o.a. een succes! Veel te doen in de omgeving. Wij komen graag terug!
