This stylish apartment, in the middle of the charming town of Macugnaga, makes the perfect holiday choice all year round.

On the first floor of a traditional style chalet, this spacious, light-filled apartment sleeps 4 people in comfort. The living area, with pale wooden floors, is divided into two rooms, each with its own double sofa bed. On one side of the attractive, mirrored divider, there is a comfortable sofa. On the other side, the airy room has a large sofa, armchair and flatscreen TV. Double glass doors lead out onto a balcony at the front of the building, overlooking the town square. There is a second, side balcony by the entrance to the bathroom.

The separate, wooden, fitted kitchen is well-equipped with a cooker hob, microwave, fridge, raclette, fondue and coffee machine. It has large windows which fill the room with sunlight and give guests wonderful views out of the mountains.

Location
The chalet building is in a spot in the centre of Macugnaga, just 200 meters from the ski slopes and 10 meters from the local restaurants, bars and shops. It is close to the ski shuttle bus stop.

At the foot of the magnificent Monte Rosa, the resort of Macugnaga is popular all year round, offering skiing between December and April. The slopes are good for intermediate-level skiers and beginners. The resort is also popular with snowboarders. In the summer months, the mountains are a magnet for hikers. A trip to the Lago delle Fate (Fairy Lake) is an easy hike through the forest. The cable car up Monte Rosa gives you wonderful views over the town and surrounding countryside, and the hike down from the middle station suits most levels of fitness.

Macugnaga has a wide range of good restaurants and bars to suit all ages and budgets. For self-catering, there are some smaller shops where guests can buy the village’s famous cheeses and pick up some local wine.

Malpensa airport, Milan is a 1 hour and 45-minute drive from the apartment. Heating charges to be paid on the spot: EUR 5
