About this property

Ashdown Forest/Tunbridge Wells - sleeps 10 guests

Our home sleeps 10 guests comfortably in 5 bedrooms. There’s a large lounge, games room, dining area and the outside space has multiple seating arrangements dotted around our beautiful garden.

Situated in the heart of Tunbridge Wells, our home was architecturally designed in 1964 and is a slice of mid century modern history.

A calm and relaxing base, perfect for a group or a family to stay whilst exploring Ashdown Forest, the Kent & Sussex countrysides & all they have to offer.

Set on three levels, this house has been our family home for 16 years and we have loved living here. Having re-located abroad we have opened it up for guests to enjoy.

The house has a unique design with large windows that let in lots of natural light. The mature garden, which has a border of trees is a feature in all the rooms. When you are inside you will feel you are in the forest, a real treat to stay somewhere like this in the centre of town.

On the same level as the entrance there is the kitchen with integrated appliances, a large stove, double ovens, dishwasher and all the utensils you would expect to find in your own kitchen.

The dining area is on a mezzanine that overlooks the living room. This is set up for ten guests to sit around. Here you will find the large French doors that you can open up fully on a sunny day. Leading onto our outside deck and al-fresco dining area. There are steps here that take you down into the garden where you will find many little seating places dotted around. Perfect for catching some rays.

There are two double bedrooms and three king bedrooms. Two bedrooms have an en-suite bathroom and there is also a family bathroom.

We have a games room/library with a cupboard full of games and lots of books. There is also a guitar and some drums.

The living room is stylishly decorated with mid-century modern style furnishings to compliment the house. We have a smart TV with Netflix, Amazon, YouTube etc and there is a blue tooth sound system.

There is a utility room with washer and dryer. We also have extra bedding and a sofa bed should you wish to switch around the sleeping arrangements.

The house has private parking for two cars and is walking distance to the centre of town with the Pantiles and an abundance of places to dine.

Situated on a residential street this home is perfect for those that will enjoy the peace and quiet of the neighbourhood. A lovely place to stay that's well located (in town) but has the feel of being in the countryside.

We are perfectly located to visit the surrounding area with lots of family friendly activities.

Here is a list of some of our favourites.

- Spa Valley Railway
- Scotney Castle
- Bewl Water
