Town: Tansley is a small, rural community in the Derbyshire Dales, approximately 2 miles from Matlock, with two welcoming pubs and several brightly coloured garden centres. Matlock, the county town, is only 2 miles distant and was famous from 1698 to 1950 for its warm springs, which supplied water therapy to visitors from far and wide. Today, the town offers a variety of superb restaurants, decent shops, a fascinating museum, and Leys Hall Park, located in the centre of the town, offers a beautiful environment for a variety of leisure activities such as bowling, mini golf, tennis, boating, and a children's play area. Gulliver's Kingdom, with its owl maze, water gardens, nature trails, thrilling rides, and cable car rides over the picturesque Matlock Gorge, offers a fantastic day. The High Peak Cycle Trail is close, and the market town of Bakewell, Chatsworth House and Park, and Haddon Hall are all within easy driving distance. A fantastic setting for the whole family.
