Hornbeam Lodge, like Heron and Snowdrop, is perfect for all year-round holidays in this glorious part of Devon. This brand-new stylish lodge sleeps up to six guests in three spacious and comfortable bedrooms.

The whole family can enjoy Hornbeam Lodge with space for everyone. As well as a stunning master bedroom with luxurious ensuite bathroom, the lodge also has a double and twin bedroom, and a large spacious family bathroom.

The stunning living space is modern, bright and airy, with views out over woodland and Roadford Lake. Furnished and equipped to the highest standards, the lodge offers modern comfort and space for a couple, a family or friends to enjoy. Children are very welcome and a high chair and travel cot are available for family guests to use. Equally welcome is a well-behaved family dog, with water and food bowls in the lodge if needed.

Hornbeam Lodge, with its private parking for two cars, large patio and private hot tub, is nestled in a spacious spot in the exclusive gated Roadford Lake Lodges Park, surrounded by professionally landscaped gardens. Hornbeam, like all our lodges, is just a couple of minutes' walk away from the Park's great amenities, such as the gymnasium, the dog wash and the EV charging bay.

And equally close is the spectacular Roadford Lake, with its woodland bursting with birds and wildlife. Woodland trails, the Roadford Lake Café and the amazing craft designed children's play area are all on your doorstep.

Nice Lodge. Not Much to Offer on Site

The lodge itself was very clean and had all the utilities we needed. The site is small but well maintained. However, I was quite disappointed that the hot tub was next to the road with no privacy which wasn’t clear on the booking details. Apart from a small gym there are no amenities onsite, I wouldn’t normally mind if we were close to a village/town but the nearest shop was a good drive away. Plus, we wanted activities for the children to do (which is why we booked this place for Easter as they had advertised activities) but on exploring, there were none happening on the lake or surrounding area. we also brought bikes to cycle but the woods behind are a cycle free zone so we weren’t able to use them which again was a bit misleading from the brochure, and with the site being in a location not suitable for any safe family road cycling this was also disappointing. If you’re looking for something that is clean and quiet this is the place but if you want some family activities then I wouldn’t return on this basis.

Very comfortable and welcoming, decorated for Christmas which adds to the festive holiday. warm and cozy with nice personal touches. The welcome pack was a nice gesture which we enjoyed, a lovely relaxing stay.

Relaxing stay at Roadford Lodges

We booked into Hornbeam at short notice and was not disappointed. The lodge is very modern, comfortable and has everything needed for a relaxing stay. The location is quiet and very convenient being on the edge of Devon and Cornwall. The hot tub is a great addition which we used most evenings. The welcome basket was very much appreciated after a long Friday evening trip down the M5, as was the self check in process which allowed us to check in at our convenience. The communication we received prior to arrival was comprehensive and easy to understand. We stayed at Hornbeam as a family of 5 with our dog. The lodge is a great size, the kitchen is spacious and the dining table was large enough for us all to eat and play games around. We would highly recommend Roadford Lodges to anyone looking for a relaxing, quiet stay.

Fabulous location if you want a completely relaxing holiday

Beautiful lodge on a small park, very well equipped and very comfortable. I like the fact the lodges are not on top of each other with plenty of space in between, the hot tub is a fabulous end to a day. It's a little out of the way but very relaxing. I personally think the hot tub could do with a little more privacy but its a minor point and we would book again, especially as we could take our dog with us

Hidden away bit of luxury

Perfect base in a good location to explore Devon and Cornwall but with a luxurious feel. Clean, well equipped lodge which has been finished to a great quality. Hot tub a bonus as was the gym. Great to have the lake on the doorstep too for walks and runs.

Great Stay At Hornbeam

What a lovely lodge, clean, modern and everything looking pristine as in the photo’s. The kitchen was very well equipped with a dishwasher, washer dryer, wine fridge, fridge, freezer, range cooker and microwave. The beds are super comfy and a great power shower. The hot tub was very a very nice addition. We liked the position of the lodge, just a five minute walk from the lake. The only downside for us was the long drive to the coast, and we booked for over a week, but our fault for not checking the location out. We would definitely stay again, maybe for a shorter stay. I would say this is the nicest accommodation we have ever booked.

Lovely lodge

Hornbeam Lodge is lovely. Very clean and well equipped with lots of helpful information provided. The hot tub is a great addition and we spent lots of time using it. The location is great and we enjoyed some nice walks around the lake. The onsite cafe serves really good food and is reasonably priced. We had a fabulous holiday (helped by the good weather) and will definitely return. We would absolutely recommend a holiday at Roadford Lakes and in fact have already passed details to friends and family.
