Lovely quiet place, nice hosts and excellent accommodation
Quiet location with easy walk into village where lots to do. Went on a boat trip and had an evening meal out at the local restaurant which was excellent. The accommodation had everything we could possibly need and was spotlessly clean. Finished to a very high standard and the hosts are lovely.

Lovely Stay
We stayed for two nights in the Nook which over looks the garden and pond. What a lovely place, So peaceful and relaxing. The Nook had everything you needed for your stay which included a lovely surprise in the welcome basket with homemade bread and jam and eggs which was delicious. The Nook was spotlessly clean and nice and cosy. The hosts Jill and Phil were friendly and helpful but not at all intrusive. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.

I stayed in The Nook and particularly liked the outlook over the garden and pond and the privacy of that location. The breakfasts were first class too and Phil and Jill could not have been more welcoming.

About the host

Cotenham Barn is owned by Jill and Phil Wakley where they run a Bed and Breakfast and Holiday cottage business.

The property was pretty much derelict when the previous owner bought it in 1985 and completely transformed what were essentially barns for animals and storage of farm machinery into, initially, a furniture workshop and show room and later a family home. The gardens, pond and wood cover 3 acres in total. We moved here in 2012 with a view to further develop the property to cater for tourism.

Thank you for taking the time to read about us and our endeavours at Cotenham Barn. We both have a nursing backgrounds Paediatric and Psychiatry respectively, Phil also served in the RAF. We are now kept busy making further developments as well as maintaining the buildings and garden. We feel that we possess many of the skills required to look after our guests and it is our sincere aim to do all we can to ensure that each and every guest has an enjoyable experience that they will remember for all the right reasons. We look forward to welcoming you.
