In the surroundings there is all kinds of commerce and services. In the narrow streets of Alfama you will find restaurants with the famous traditional dishes and you can also hear and be moved by Fado.
This area is very well served by public transports, but if you choose to walk you will see that all the routes in Lisbon are very well done on foot: the flat is only 5 min away from Praça do Comércio, 10 min away from S. Jorge Castle and 10 min away from Rossio.
