Villa Alopa - Three Bedroom Villa, Sleeps 6
If you are looking for a sublime, 5-star luxury villa for 6 guests in a quiet location on the stunning Istria peninsula, then Villa Alopa will be hard to beat! It is absolutely beautiful, chic and stylish.
The Istrian peninsula has so much to offer. The scenery is amazing with rolling hills, olive groves, vineyards and a truly amazing indented coastline. The gastronomic feasts offered in the superb restaurants have a strong Italian influence and are accompanied by delicious local wines. You really can’t go wrong on the Istrian peninsula! Villa Alopa is situated in the quiet, historic town of Sveti Lovrec. It is nestled in the immediate hinterland of Vsrar and Porec and is one of the best-preserved, medieval, fortified towns in Istria, 2-3km from the sea.
Villa Alopa is in a sunny, elevated position so boasts wonderful countryside and sea views. The outside space is perfect with lawns, a wildlife garden, a fantastic terrace and pool, outside dining gazebo and a playground for children. The planting is fabulous, and the pool, terrace and alfresco dining is totally on point and could not be better. Like everywhere in the villa, no expense has been spared to make this a dynamite holiday location. The pool is unusual with a separate shallow wrap-around level. It is stunning. All of the chic furniture is high-end. The covered outside dining next to the pool and kitchen is superb, but you also have the choice of eating in the other covered dining area in the garden. It has a stone-built barbecue and serving area. It is so attractive and atmospheric.
The open-plan living, dining and kitchen space is so trendy with fabulous materials, furniture and light effects. You may well be open-mouthed gazing at the incredible design. The staircase is intriguing, stunningly modern and beautiful. Fantastic use of glass has been made in this villa though the designers have also cleverly managed to make it feel warm and cosy. One of the dazzling bathrooms is on the ground floor.
Upstairs you will find three incredibly luxurious bedrooms, each with a pristine, sensational bathroom. One of the beds is a king and the other 2 doubles. All of the bedrooms have access to an excellent terrace boasting heavenly, spectacular views of the pool, garden and out to the azure waters and countryside. Villa Alopa is super cool and trendy and in a fantastic, atmospheric location. It is hard to beat!

Location:
Sveti Lovrec has just 60 people living there. It is so quiet but full of history with charming, attractive buildings. There are three churches, the church of St Lawrence built in the 8th century, the parish church of St Martin’s Basilica with its amazing frescoes and the church of St Blaise built in 1460, again with the most incredible frescoes.
The villa is 15km south of the wonderful hilltop town of Labin. Labin has two parts, the rambling, cobbled streets and quaintly restored, pastel houses of the Old Town and the new town at the bottom of the hill which contains most of the shops. The Fortress Fortica on top of the town boasts an amazing, panoramic view of the rocky Cres Island and the special resort of Rabac below. Labin has a wealth of picturesque coffee shops, fine seafood restaurants and a rich cultural life including summer jazz and classical concerts.
Trget is a small fisherman’s village in the bay of Rasa, close to the villa. It is very pretty with a charming harbour. You can enjoy fresh anchovies, seafood salads, tagliatelle with scampi and delicious, grilled scampi at the village tavern.
Just below Labin, Rabac has a pretty, white pebble beach and delightful waterfront promenade. Girandella Beach is a sheltered cove and proudly waves a Blue Flag. There are many cafes and restaurants as well as fun watersports. The inflatable iceberg sea playground is fabulous. Boat trips sail from the harbour to the island of rocky island of Cres.
When staying at Villa Alopa you will also want to visit Pula with its magnificent Roman amphitheatre which rivals Rome’s Colisseum and the romantic, historic Rovinj. You will need your camera to photograph the pretty Old Town and the buzzy Farmer’s Market. The 192 steps of the Church of St Euphemia’s bell tower are worth it to admire the fantastic views.
