Down House is an impressive timber-clad cottage resting in Diabaig near Torridon in the north west Highlands and sleeps two guests in one bedroom.

Town: Resting among the rustic landscapes of the northwest Highlands of Scotland is the quaint village of Torridon, home to the dramatic Torridon Hills and Loch Torridon lying on the west coastline. The area itself has gained status as a National Trust for Scotland for its historic mountains, with the Torridonian sandstone dating back 750 million years and the Lewisian Gneiss rock dating even further back a whopping 2,600 million years old. The village centre comprises a local shop, The Torridon Inn hotel and pub, a youth hostel, a community centre and a deer museum.
