Hideaway on the Isle of Skye
We just loved this place. It's a lovely house that overlooks a large bay; there is so much to see in the bay alone, you are going to have to see it for yourself. This place easily accommodated our family part of 7. Plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms and at least 3 living beautiful rooms where the family could gather. We loved the location on the Isle of Skye. It's out of the way so you don't get caught up in the tourist traffic. It's near Carbost, which is a great little town--we highly recommend that Old Inn for food and drinks. The Talisker tour there was also excellent. The road to get to the house goes past Talisker and it takes about 10 minutes to negotiate the narrow road to get there. But it's fun to drive and ultimately, the house isn't that far a drive to the sights of Skye (e.g., Dunvegan, Trotternish etc.). In short, it's a great house, tucked away so you don't have to deal with all the tourist traffic. We loved it and would stay here again.

Family visit to Saltwinds on Skye
We enjoyed our stay very much. While it is off the beaten path, so to speak, this is part of the charm of this spot and the view was great. The house itself is quite large, with lots of bathrooms. While the kitchen is nice and large, unfortunately it wasn't well stocked with basics and there aren't groceries close by. I would recommend this place for a family wanting to experience the west coast of Skye.
